“Wedding Reception”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2012

The grounds were a lovely backdrop for a wedding ceremony. However; they did not provide for the wedding guests as well as they could have. Unfortunately it rained, so the chair cushions were soaked. (Some at the property should have removed them before this happened) Then the chairs themselves were wet and the velcroe strips on the chairs were soaked. Umbrellas were passed out after it began drizzling again. They should have been passed to guest as we were being seated. MOB was sitting up front without an umbrella for a while before she and flowers girls were given one to share. Then one guest never received an umbrella and had to sit attentively while his suit was soaked. Interestingly, the staff was there at the end to retrieve the umbrellas as the guests left for the reception.
As for seating guests for the dinner. The unisex restroom opened directly into the dining room! The continual parade of guests lining up for the one UNISEX restroom was distracting for diners at nearby tables. Some guests even left the restroom door open after use; not a pleasant dining environment for guests. IMO property such as this should have seperate restrooms and at least a partition in front of the door.
Otherwise, this property had lovely grounds and would be a nice place for functions if they have a better plan for last minute rain and discretely placed restrooms for each sex.

Room Tip: If you are booking a room ask if there is a party booked for you stay and request rooms accordingly...

Booked a Fountain Room for a long weekend in Napa County. The Hotel/Inn was perfect. We would definitely stay here when we return to the area. I would probably go for a Vinyard room because of the views and solitude, but our King Fountain room, complete with FirePlace was most enjoyable.
The Complimentary breakfast was another bonus and the perfect way to start the day of wine tasting.
The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. This gem would be our first recommendation to any friends.
If there were any negatives, it would only be that there is no restaurant within the property-but that just gave us an excuse to sample several of the places within a few miles.

We recently returned from a stay in one of the vineyard view rooms. It was a huge room with a beautiful fireplace and lovely little deck complete with lounge chairs. The room was bright, updated and very comfortable. The bathroom was huge and included a large stone shower and separate soaking tub. The surrounding grounds are beautiful with lovely gardens and many colorful flowers. Although we did not use them, there are two good sized pools. The staff was very polite from start to finish. A turn-down service was provided that included fresh water and ice each evening. The breakfast that is included is a nice plus. There were lots of fruits, cheeses, pastries, cereals and other items. The location is perfect. You are right in the heart of the best wineries, restaurants and shops. I look forward to going back hopefully sooner rather than later. Another great find!

Room Tip: Some rooms near the highway may be a bit noisy.

Romantic room comes stocked with complimentary beverages, and the adult pool is a nice touch to avoid kid noise. The breakfast is better than Embassy Suites but not awesome. The pet fee of $100/night is too much IMO, but they did provide a doggie bed, bowls, and treats. The bathroom was awesome and bed fairly comfortable. The walls were a bit thin and we heard our neighbors humping quite easily. Plenty of parking, and location close to major wineries.

Harvest Inn is truly magical. My wife and I just returned from our second stay here and we absolutely love this place. The attention to detail is immaculate. For example, the cucumber/strawberry infused water. The grounds are a beautiful sanctuary in the already beautiful Napa Valley. Service is great. I have stayed in several rooms (Fountain King, Fireplace King, Spa Vineyard King) and they are all excellent. The delicious and high quality European continental breakfast is really good. The location is perfect. You are in the middle of the great wineries along Hwy 29 such as Hall, Opus One, Fransciscan, Rubicon, and V Sattui. You are also a close drive to Silver Oak, Groth, and only 5-10min from lunch at Auburge de Soleil. Dean and Deluca is down the street. The St Helena restaurants are pretty much across the street and you are only a 10 min drive to Yountville for more excellent dining.

I really can't say enough good things about this place. It is very rejuvenating. The view of the winery and mountains behind the property is breathtaking. I can't wait to come back!

Room Tip: It is worth the extra money for the Spa Vineyard King. The view is incredible. The Fountain Kings ar...

My husband and I took our delayed honeymoon to Cali wine country and stayed here in April of 2012.

We booked this location as it was close to the vineyards (which are everywhere) and we got a discount for it through, I think, Jetsetter.

The room was spacious, clean, well accommodated. It came with a complimentary small bottle of wine and some gourmet chocolates. The housekeeper was thorough, although the room smelled like room-spray right when we got there and needed to be aired out.

Breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit, a quiche, baked goods and an oatmeal bar. We looked forward to this every morning. You could eat overlooking the mountains and vineyards!

Even though it was raining, the grounds were beautiful and we took long walks along the paths. They are very well maintained and quiet. The roses are beautiful and fragrant!

The fitness center is well equipped with 2 treadmills (although one of the treadmills will not read our your distance or time, I believe it's broken). We didn't use the pool or spa services, but those appeared to be well kept and clean too.

The concierge was very informative and had some coupons to offer us for discounted tours and tastings. She was willing to help us navigate the local map and gave us recommendations so we could make the most of our time there.

My only complaint is that a family showed up with their infant. The whole town if full of grown-up activities and we loved that it was a peaceful time (minus the screaming infant at some breakfasts!).

Room Tip: Ask for a room further from the road because you can hear that cars at night if you have the windows...
