“Sooo Yummmm!!”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

We were so glad our flight landed early enough for us to get over to Nopalitos in time for lunch (even though in the opposite direction of where we were heading). The food was just tremendously great, we both had stuffed burritos smothered with a split of red and green sauce and they were divine. The prices are crazy affordable. While there it was filled with very happy people, many whom mentioned it was not the first or even second visit of the week. Dave the owner was open and gracious in his feedback about where we might want to visit while here. The highlight for me though, was the incredibly kindhearted woman who waited on us. We waited while she patiently helped an older gentleman who was disabled. His appearance, I imagine, might often bring him distance or scorn from others, but form this lovely woman it brought patience, a gentle tone, she helped him not only with his order, but also took his food out for him (a task that would have been very difficult for him I think). She made sure he had everything he needed and treated him with kindness, dignity and dearness. It was touching and clearly a reflection of this sweet little place. She treated us the same and we left feeling satisfied and refreshed, no small task after getting up at 3:30 am to catch a flight from upstate NY to Calif.

“Still great stuff!”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

I used to go to Nopalitos often, but just recently returned for the first time in years. They still have good, fresh ingredients in all their selections. And it's all good! Be sure and get something with the sliced nopalitos (cactus). Very tender and flavorful compared to other places.
A wonderful little neighborhood restaurant.

“Con mucho gusto!”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

Open for breakfast and lunch only during the week, Nopalitos is great value, fresh ingredients, no salt added and not greasy = excellent Mexican. My favorite is the carnitas burrito, a full meal. Occassionally they make tamales in mass. I always buy two dozen as my emergency lunch or dinner when my wife is gone and I don't feel like cooking for me and Izzy, my doxie.

“Wonderful Food worth seeking out”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

We have been eating at Nopalitos for years. This is a small Mexican restaurant with exceedingly fresh ingredients and a friendly staff. We have been served by one of the owners at the counter every single time except perhaps once in over dozens upon dozens of visits and she is always wonderful. You get the sense that they are so grateful for your business. Try the "Smothered Burrito" with green or red sauce (or half and half!) and a variety of choices for meat or veggies. Or, the "Tamale in a Bowl" is a great - slightly smaller choice. Nopalitos has a good choice of beer and soft drinks plus water and ice available for free. There are three salsa choices at the salsa bar to augment your meal if you wish - a very fresh mild, medium, and hot version - all different in taste and look (not just the same salsa with more or less heat). Order at the counter and take a number to your table either inside or outside. Can get busy at lunch but they are very organized and quick. Highly recommended. Our daughter's favorite Mexican restaurant for years and now that she is an adult - she takes others there for the experience.

“Great change on a roadtrip”
Reviewed June 25, 2012

Great food in a very small restaurant. No credit cards. Cash or check only. Off in a neighborhood not easy access from highway but good food worth the diversion.
