We were so glad our flight landed early enough for us to get over to Nopalitos in time for lunch (even though in the opposite direction of where we were heading). The food was just tremendously great, we both had stuffed burritos smothered with a split of red and green sauce and they were divine. The prices are crazy affordable. While there it was filled with very happy people, many whom mentioned it was not the first or even second visit of the week. Dave the owner was open and gracious in his feedback about where we might want to visit while here. The highlight for me though, was the incredibly kindhearted woman who waited on us. We waited while she patiently helped an older gentleman who was disabled. His appearance, I imagine, might often bring him distance or scorn from others, but form this lovely woman it brought patience, a gentle tone, she helped him not only with his order, but also took his food out for him (a task that would have been very difficult for him I think). She made sure he had everything he needed and treated him with kindness, dignity and dearness. It was touching and clearly a reflection of this sweet little place. She treated us the same and we left feeling satisfied and refreshed, no small task after getting up at 3:30 am to catch a flight from upstate NY to Calif.
