I love this restaurant. The food is great, the service is friendly and fun and it always feel like a party atmosphere without being out of control. I will definitely be going back, Maybe for my birthday!

“Good but LOUD”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

We have been to the Crab Shack in Anaheim and preferred it much more than this one. While the location is great, we went to dinner here on a hot day. The window shades are not adequate for hot days. My husband actually put on his sun glasses to try and cut down on the glare. The noise level was so high that having a conversation was almost impossible. The food was exactly what we expected and was perfectly fine. The only thing we found odd is that they had run out of marinara sauce for the calamari appetizer, so substituted tartar sauce. They also ran out of scotch at the bar. One thing we really appreciated was the way they handle walk-ins. If you do not have a reservation, you can call and get on the wait list. We had an hour's wait, so we did other things and arrived just a few minutes before being seated. Also, they have an agreement with the Embassy Suites next door. If you stay at the Embassy Suites, you have priority for seating. While the food was perfectly fine, I doubt we will return, at least when it is hot outside.

“PreCooked Food”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

The food does not taste fresh to me. It appears to taste like it was prepared somewhere else and reheated in a microwave oven. Joe;s falls into the category of Applebees, Olive Garden and Red Lobster. I am just not a fan of microwave tasting, so called fresh food. Staff was wonderful and the location was great.

“Good Food!”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

This is my favorite stop in old town Sac. If you get in at a good time, like when they first open, there is little or no wait. Expect a wait at any other time. The food is always good here and always meets Joe's standards. The service is good and also meets Joes standards.

“Great location & views of Tower Bridge. OK food.”
Reviewed September 1, 2013 via mobile

The food is OK, not bad, but overhyped. It does have a great location and great views of the Tower Bridge in the evenings. If you like shell fish and lobsters, you will like the place, If you are a vegetarian, you will not be enjoying this place much. Paella was flavorful, crab was kinda bland, salmon was fine. However, the waits are just too long to want to go their again.
