“A Part of a Chain, but Still Worthwhile”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

Yes, it's part of a chain of Chinese bistros, and it may not necessarily appeal to those demanding absolutely authentic Chinese cuisine, but PF Chang offers an enjoyable dining experience. The six of us were promptly seated at 7 PM, the time of our reservation, at a round table per our request. Bryan, our server was friendly and helpful with questions about the numerous menu items, and he had plenty of back-up in terms of getting extra ice for drinks, filling water glasses, etc. For $9, you get a very generous pour for their specialty beverages. The appetizers were superb and included BBQ spare ribs, chicken lettuce cups, and warm edamame, served with kosher salt. We thought the Peking duck wraps were just fair, prepared vegetarian style, rather than in dough. The shaking beef, spicy eggplant, and a cucumber dish were very good, and the prawns in lobster sauce was remarkably good. At $50 per couple, including drinks and 20% gratuity, we all agreed the meal was a fair value. Would recommend, and we will definitely come back.

“It's OK”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

This place "P.F. Chang's" came with a lot of hype. Everyone seems to love it. We found the food to be good... no doubt... but not rediculously delicious... which is what I expected after all the hype. Basically I feel it's an overpriced Chineese restaurant. Save your money and get better food at the Mom 'n' Pop Chineese restaurant around the corner from your house!

“My favorite place...”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

My favorite place to eat out in Sacramento. First came with my wife, her son and his wife many years ago. The lettuce wraps are the first things we order and far better than the ones at Elephant Bar. Love the sesame chicken and Paul's bitter lemon chicken with broccoli and lemon sauce. This location is the noisiest one we have been to as there is upstairs dining and the noise level travels upstairs very quickly. The location in Roseville has the same food but better ambience. Have been to both locations many times over the years. Special occasions are special because P.F. Changs makes it special. Also, he location in Monterey, CA is good, too.

“Ok, but not as good as hoped for”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

I thought some of the dishes were too salty. Some were fine. Overall, I think there are other restaurants in the area that I'd rather eat at.

“16th Birthday Celebration”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

My son's top choice for his birthday celebration. The food was excellent and a high-quality. Service was good and friendly too. There is a wait though but they will take reservations.
