“Right in downtown Sacramento”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

McCormick and Schmick's has always been a consistent chain restaurant and this one lives up to its reputation. Good food and comparable service are its hallmark. The fish is fresh although I would have appreciated more creativity in the dishes. There is no WoW! factor but you will not go away dissatisfied.

“High end Red Lobster”
Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

The food was really good. Service seemed as if we were bothering them. Atmosphere just so so.
Overall, save a few bucks and go where the servers want to serve you and not have to spend more to feel as though you should not be there.

“Always first class”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

We've been to M&S 4-5 times; each experience has been top rate. Although pricey, it's worth it, especially for special occasions. You simply can't go wrong with any of the fish dishes, and if you don't like it for any reason they will bring you something else. This location is an elegant setting and service is top notch, too. One tip for saving money -- if you belong to Costco -- purchase a $100 M&S gift card for $80 before going to the restaurant, effectively a 20% savings (and you'll use it). (Cards may be available elsewhere). Dinner for four cost us $200 approx with tax and tip.

M&S is now part of Landry's restaurants, which includes Charthouse, Rainforest Cafe, Morton's and others. There are also good discounts if you join their rewards program.

This is a place you want to go to if you have a very big appetitie. The food is cooked just the way you like it and is of very high quality.

“Very interesting building - service brilliant”
Reviewed May 2, 2012

We didn't get to this restaurant until nearly closing time but the staff were so welcoming. There was no pressure to eat up quick and get out, the staff were prepared to wait for us (thanks - Diana ).

Food was lovely. Would imagine it gets busy lunchtimes
