We were staying at the Citizen hotel so this place was really handy for breakfast (& all the other meals). Everything was freshly prepared and delicious from a menu that changes with the seasons, and generous portions too!! There are separate menus for the bar and restaurant and you would have to be very hard to please not to find something you like.
The bar itself was very lively but comfortable with very knowledgeable staff, the service was excellent and while not cheap, offered great value for money.

I have gone here a few times. The food is good, ok. But... when sitting at the bar for happy hour, the bartenders are very rude. I noticed this the last time a friend and I went there. The place was pretty empty, so not over busy. They chat with each other behind the bar, hard to get any service when sitting as a customer. Also you have to walk quite a ways to go to the restroom. Also they had a $2 up charge on our two drinks? I asked for Makers in my Manhattan so I can see why, maybe, but my friend asked for a Martini with no special vodka. When we asked about this, they were rude.

The restaurant had good food and a nice wine selection. They let us taste the wines first, which was helpful. It's pricey, but not exhorbitant. There isn't a big selection, especially for vegetarians. I like the ambiance and service was excellent.

The Grange restaurant offers a Farm to Fork luncheon on Wednesdays during the summertime. Cesar Chavez Park is located directly across the street from the restaurant, and if you make the reservation, the chef will walk you across the street to the Farmer's Market, give you a tour and discuss the various products and types of produce available. You will also enjoy complimentary tastings with the vendors and hear their background stories. Quite fun and interesting.

The chef goes over in the early morning before the tour and chooses the ingredients he wants to buy for the restaurant's menu for the next few days, as well as for the lunch he is about to prepare for you.

Doesn't get much fresher than this and everything is delicious. Besides the 3 course lunch, wine and a special sparkling aperitif is also provided for about $50 -and that includes tax and gratuity. Well worth it! Going to the Grange for a Farmer's Market luncheon is now a tradition with my group of friends that we look forward to every year.

Family of three with a reservation on a Friday night before a show. Our server was immediately engaging, identifying our need for a somewhat strict timeline but never making us feel "rushed". Wine list was large with that evening offering half-off all bottles. We were recommended a very tasty Napa Zinfandel and enjoyed it. Menu is limited but well thought out, spanning from seafood to red meat. Not to be missed are their homemade sausage plate and cheese plate choices. Great stuff and not a common find. We enjoyed everything we ordered with flavors well balanced and sides complimenting. Due to time we did not enjoy any of their deserts. Ambiance was very nice and comfortable but the thing that made the evening was the staff. Knowledgable and friendly from the waiter to the bus staff, there was a great attention to the small details. If we are ever in Sacramento again, we will be back.
