I love to look at the ducks and the duck families! It's a family environment. The Sacramento zoo is just blocks away. Have a picnic at William Land Park and go across the street to Sacramento zoo. Have fun. Just becareful to go on a moderate weather day. It's not fun in 90+ weather unless you like to swelter.

Wm. Land Park has a really great zoo, very clean and well maintained. Additionally, the park has Fairy Tale Town which is loads of fun for little ones ages 2-8 yrs.. My 3 year old granddaughter loves to climb on the various attractions, run from exhibit to exhibit and pet the animals. Its very clean and well maintained also. Lastly, there is Funderland. This is an area with rides that would appeal to families with little ones. Probably the 3-9 yrs. age group. Rides are very safe and very scaled down for the little ones (age groups are my opinion). Lastly, the park has lovely gardens for wandering and large areas for having a picnic/barbecue. Parking is ample and fees are very reasonable. There are restaurants with take out near the park if you want to picnic without bringing your own food.

This beautiful, shady park is well used by people of all ages and persuasions. Besides picnic areas and stocked fishing ponds, theres a golf course, an amphitheater, the Sacramento Zoo, Funderland amuseument park, Fairytaletown for tots. It's just south of downtown and in the center of the very desirable Land Park neighborhood.

This park is large and has much to see! You can go hangout by yourself, with friends, or bring the family. You can easily spend the day here.

The park was simply a park, good enough. I've seen tons better, just not in this part of the state, so far. Funderland was sweet enough for my 6yr old and pet friendly so that is always a bonus.
