“They Don't Know "No"”

From the moment we stepped in the front door for a late night check-in we knew that this hotel was different. There was a problem with the room which Dave, the overnight desk clerk, seamlessly managed. Every day we were greeted by caring and enthusiastic staff members, including everyone working on the floors. The front desk made sure our family reunion relatives were all in the same block of rooms. Every request was met with an attitude of "How can we exceed your expectations"! We will be back.

Larkspur Landing was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were courteous and they went the extra mile. I had a late afternoon flight and they were happy to extend my check out time. The free breakfast was delicious. This hotel is great for business and family travelers.

A good hotel experience is all about attention to detail, and this place has obviosly been working very hard at it. Not only was everything about the room and faciites well thought out, but the staff was friendly and I was made to feel like this is now a home away from home.

A five star experience for a two star price........simply outstanding!

Recently stayed at Larkspur Landing for a family reunion, and we were very happy with the choice of hotel. The room was spacious, with two bedrooms and a full bathroom and kitchenette. The hotel provides an extensive breakfast each morning with cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, breads, pastries, waffles, and fruit. Apples and coffee are available all day. Complimentary newspapers were available. The room was well-appointed if a bit bland in decor. The staff was all exceedingly friendly and helpful.

Pros: free Wifi service, free parking, breakfast included. Small fitness center with hot tub.
Cons: needs a pool to be a real family friendly location. Cabinets in the kitchens and bathrooms look dated and cheap, but all worked fine and were clean.

Note: two bedroom suites are spacious, but the full bathroom is off the main room so the private room with the king bed does not have direct bathroom access. Not a huge issue for a family, but could be for friends sharing a room.

The staff was very accommodating with regards to requests for help. We did not feel that we were imposing upon anyone when we did ask.
The breakfast room was well-stocked for our group, although the coffee often ran out before the servers were ready to do the refill (our group was given its own breakfast area on the fourth floor, which may have accounted for the delay)
We had no problems using the laundry room
Having a kitchenette on the premises was very beneficial to us as we were able to heat up items that we bought at the nearby grocery store -- another bonus! It was also good to have so many restaurants close.

Room Tip: Try to make sure that your room doesn't overlook the parking lot or the main road.

We were visiting from Canada for 12 days, competing in the World Masters Athletics Championships at SAC State University, and we were 101% satisfied with our stay at this wonderful hotel. Warm, friendly staff immediately accommodated our every request. Great location -- several good restaurants, pharmacy, bank, medical clinic, grocery store, etc. nearby. On-site laundry facilities, barbecue, and kitchenette proved to be a huge bonus, as was the healthy, delicious, daily breakfast.

Huge thanks again to the amazing staff that made every athlete feel at home.

We'd gladly stay here again in a heartbeat
