We went on a Sunday afternoon for a stroll with friends through Old Sacramento. It was an interesting walk, despite 95 degree temperatures. There are a large contingent of homeless men and women in the area, so do not be alarmed. There were various street performers and a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Some good photography opportunities along the riverfront for those so inclined.

I've never seen so many candy and ice cream shops in one place! Every shop we stopped in was filled with wonderful things to see, wonderful people to help, and packed with fun and laughter.

Had a blast at Old Sacramento !!! There's so much to do here. Ride a real train, visit the Train Museum and there's a leather store that has jackets and purses for $20 and under. So many resturants and saloons to eat and drink at.Love to shop there too. They got a costume store that's has everything !! Had so much fun at Old Sacramento !!!

It's a neat area but it's filled with typical tourist shops. The wooden boardwalk is neat and there's a great railroad museum nearby. Old Sacramento is all about the old building exteriors and how it originally looked. It's nothing about the shopping.

We visited this place 20 years ago and it was quite nice if my memory serves me well. Now it just seems like a big tourist trap. I would not go out of my way to visit this attraction. I would not recommend it to anyone.
