Owner description: A Growing Tradition: For nearly a quarter century, our family has been growing some of the finest winegrapes in the heart of the Napa Valley's acclaimed Rutherford region. Home to some of the most famous American vineyards, and some of the most coveted Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, Rutherford is widely recognized as one of the great viticultural regions of the world. Over the years, we have cultivated a nurturing and sustainable relationship with our estate vineyard, which has made our Cabernet Sauvignon prized by numerous esteemed wineries. To make our own highly-rated, handcrafted wines, we have combined two generations of winegrowing experience with the same artisan attention to detail we have learned are essential parts of crafting world-class olive oils and red wine vinegars. Our goal is simple - by remaining true to time-honored traditions we strive to bring you the best the Napa Valley has to offer. We invite you to explore and savor these exceptional, limited-production wines.

My wife and I are not drinkers, so we decided to go to an Olive Oil tasting at Round Pond, one of the few pressers of the oil in the valley. The host was a little bit pretentious (typical Napa) but very well informed. She gave us background of olive oil, how it is pressed and how to taste it. Great olive oil, vinegars and the Meyer Lemon Syrup and the Blood Orange Syrup shouldn't be missed.

First time in Napa? A group of 6 of us visited both their Olive vineyard/processing/tasting location, and their grape vineyard (no tour for the later). You can book online, but make sure you book the right place. Some staff members can be downright nasty to you if you accidentally book the wrong place and get locked out of your tour as a result. With so much wine talk in Napa, it was a relief to see how the Olives were grown, processed, sold. We also spent a significant amount of time learning to taste olive oil and vinegar. Enough to make us into oil/vinegar snobs! They spent a lot of time with us, teaching us in a fun way, as we paired MANY different oils with a whole host of different food. The instructor/guide was awesome, she knew so much, but also was seasoned/professional enough to properly convey the information to an audience of variety experience. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

My husband and I did the olive oil experience followed by an estate tasting for our anniversary. We started out with a brief tour of the olive grove followed by a tour of the olive mill. A guide Brian was great! He was very knowledgable about the olives! After the tour we went into a room with the rest of the group and enjoyed a tasting of olive oils, syrups, and vinegars accompanied with chicken, fruits, cheese, bread, and vegetables, mostly from their garden. It was all amazing!!! I highly recommend this experience!

Following our olive oil tasting we went across the street to do an estate tasting. The patio and view are breathtaking!!! Our sommelier, Christina, was a doll! She was very knowledgable and passionate about the estate and the wines! We sampled four different wines. Three of them paired with food. The food pairing was incredibly small but it wasn't suppose to be a meal, just a pairing. For the amount you get I do feel that $45 is a bit much however, the patio and view were worth the money alone!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and would highly recommend to everyone!!!

Did not taste the wine, purchased dipping olive oil. The 2nd floor deck was breathtaking. A must stop next time. Check out the beautiful antique truck parked in the entrance.
