“Good Wine, Great Atmosphere”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

We like Cakebread's Cabs. For $60-$70 a bottle, they make a great Cab. Our wine pourer was Don. He was a fun guy and a wealth of information. He even admitted that the 2010 vintages he was pouring should be poured in 5 more years; however, due to demand, they are pouring them now. They taste good now, so I can only imagine how they will taste, if we can save some for the future! I would recommend CC for a visit!

“Worth it if you have time”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

Cakebread is obviously a more mass-market winery; as such, you should expect that some of their wines are just mediocre. We found this to be the case: a few that we tasted were average, a few just bad, and a couple were quite good. One of their best, which you have to ask to try, is called "dancing bear", if I'm not mistaken. This was quite good.

The grounds were surprisingly nice, actually, and the staff were nice, but it felt kind of forced.

Here's a tip: They will let you keep, and wrap up, your wine glasses if you ask them to, for free.

PS - The owners are actually named "Cakebread". No joke.

“If you think their wines are great, their food is incredible!”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

We had a group (50 people) dinner at Cakebread in March and the experience was outstanding! The four-course dinner was paired with amazing wines and the food offerings were fresh, imaginative and absolutely incredible. The staff at Cakebread Cellars definitely understand hospitality and service, turning what could have been just another dinner into a dining experience. I would not hesitate for an instant to return with another group and highly recommend this fine establishment for anyone looking for a fine-dining option. Bravo!

“Big winery Average wine”
Reviewed April 20, 2013 via mobile

Impersonal Tour Guides to start your visit is big mistake.

The wines are average at best.

Don't stop. You'll thank me later.

“Amazing winery offers great experience”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

Cakebread makes some of the most perfect wines out there. At the tasting my friend and I had the chance to try seven different wines the vineyard produces, including the Dancing Bear and Benchland Cabernets. All of the staff was friendly and incredibly enthusiastic to invite everyone in to try the wine. Barbara was our pourer and she was full of information and exuded her passion for wine.
