Yes, Auberge is very, very expensive. But so are lots of hotels that are not wonderful in all respects. Auberge has beautiful rooms and grounds and a very knowledgeable and helpful staff, from the concierge to the groundskeepers. Food is great.

Room Tip: We had a valley view room. Really worth it. The view is divine.

My husband and I just got married at Auberge du Soleil and stayed there two nights. Everything went smoothly and as planned. Brittany made me feel at ease that it would go without a hitch and it did. Everything about this resort is first class. I used the spa and only wished I had more time there. The food is outstanding and the views are unparalleled. We have already booked again next year for our anniversary.

A marvelous hotel that hits all the right notes. Great location, amazing accommodations and very hospitable service. What more could you want? We only stayed for one night while visiting napa but it was a visit to remember. Auberge puts the "gracious" in service, and though pricey, staying here makes you feel truly wanted, pampered and appreciated. From complimentary wine and snacks, to serene and breathtaking views, to quite good food and dining service, this resort is one to return to. Interesting sculpture garden on the property adds an extra touch to the ambience and feeling of peacefulness you get when youre here. Though we did not use the pool, it looked amazing and the comfortable divans at poolside were beautiful.

All the other reviews cover the advantages of this magnificently located hotel and its amenities.
There were however two aspects of this hotel that detract. Firstly, there is not a comfortable lounge/bar area in which to have a drink. The current bar has hard seats at tables with a TV playing sport. When we were there it had baseball playing which is fine in a certain type of bar but not appropriate here. Secondly, for a restaurant that refers to itself as ' Michelin Rated ' (could not work out if it really had a star or not) the food was ok but the service was very rehearsed and a little over the top in delivery. We booked for 3 nights but only ate once in the main restaurant. There are plenty of much better options outside the hotel.
Very much enjoyed our stay but would we go back - probably not given all the choices in Napa.

What can I say, simply the best! Celebrating our anniversary with our dear friends. A beautiful setting. Comfortable rooms with every possible need anticipated and taken care of before you ask . Quiet, calm, serene environment. Pricey........ absolutely but worth the price.
The concierge staff were efficient and helped us plan an amazing wine tour experience. They arranged our tours and transportation and we were able to visit private vineyards, a remarkable experience for us. The view is spectacular from the restaurant, the pool, and the spa area.
Hope to visit again.

We recently had our wedding at the Auberge du Soleil, and it exceeded our expectations. The grounds were beautiful and the view was panoramic. We stayed at the hotel and the service was top notch for our entire stay. The room was perfect and the food was excellent. Best hotel we've ever stayed at and we plan to return on our anniversary!

In celebration of our anniversary, my husband and I splurged on a stay here. My first impression was that the grounds were beautiful, the setting absolutely serene. From the moment we arrived until we left, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; impeccably trained to cater to your every whim or indulgence just as you would expect from a french resort. When we entered our room, my heart skipped a beat...it was absolutely beautifully done in an understated elegant way with an incredible valley view and lots of privacy. Nothing here is overlooked- from a personalized mailbox, to an abundance of complimentary snacks/drinks, to the most comfortable linens and bed that I've EVER slept on! It was perfect, in fact, we only left our room to visit the beautiful pool and to indulge in a 6 course meal at the Michelin star rated hotel on site, which by the way, was divine! There is really no need to leave the property. You wont miss wine tasting off site when you're basking in your glorious sunken tub! It was a stay of a lifetime and we hope to visit again. Absurdly expensive but if you're looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway, this place definitely delivers!

Room Tip: Upgrade to a valley view -- lovely for sunset!
