Description: The menu at Paul Martin’s consists of dishes aimed at taking diners back to the American farm with meat raised in a humane and wholesome way, locally sourced organic produce, fish from conscientious fishmongers, artisan cheeses and cured meats from small local purveyors and custom-made bread from expert bakers. The California-centric wine list twists and turns, by glass or bottle, through the Golden State’s fruitful vineyards, with an occasional stop for an Oregon Pinot Gris or a Washington dry Riesling. And behind Paul Martin’s elegantly rustic bar is an interesting array of local craft beer and spirited cocktails with fresh garnishes. Good times and thoughtful food are a way of life at Paul Martin’s local, American Bistro.

Great great great food. On par with Bandera in Sacramento. Sometimes their customer service is hit and miss. One time we got a horrible waitress during happy hour who was so rude and forgetful, but we still return because the food is awesome. Happy hour has $4 plates and their smoked chicken wings are to die for. Best I've ever had.

We attended a private 70th birthday party with about 25 others and enjoyed almost everything about this restaurant. Service was over-the-top efficient and friendly and the food pretty much spot on. The only down side was the location of the banquet room: separated only by a curtain from the main dining room, the noise level inhibited presentations by us celebrating the life of the birthday boy - even with a microphone it was still hard to hear. I can only imagine how irritating we were to the other diners! That said, our experience was very enjoyable and will be back for dinner in the future.

Had dinner with friends tonight. Wine list is extensive and good values in all categories. Food was excellent, accompanied by attentive and friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

We recently took our Admin staff to lunch here and it reminded me just how great all the food is. I have probably been here 10 times and has never been disappointing. The Happy hour is great with small plates and the best Lemon drop in town. It is a great place for special lunches, occasions or , romantic dinners.

There are no surprises here. The food is fine, if not exceptional. The service is very good, and the ambience is very nice as well. The prime rib prix fixe was a bargain, and the wine list is fairly priced as restaurants go these days. All in all, an enjoyable experience.
