I was in the post office and I over heard someone mention this place and we had to check it out.
We had a great meal! Kristin was wonderful and friendly. My mom loved the Tuna tacos and we shared the sashimi salad , cucumber salad , volcano roll and fried squid. Everything was fresh and Kristin has some of her own concoction's not on the menu that we couldn't resist like the Hope Float ( frozen berries, tea tree and black sesame seed ice cream with 7up and whipped cream with sprinkles on top) may sound strange but the flavors together made the end of our meal a winner. We will be back next Saturday.

Although the service can be a bit slow (understandable as it looks to be family run), the food has always been excellent. Couple this with a restaurant.com discount and you not only get a great meal but for a great price!

It was a pleasure to discover a small, intimate, friendly, family-feeling Japanese restaurant. With an extensive menu including numerous appetizers, udon selections, sushi and sashimi, special bento boxes, donburi, and entrée selections, there is no problem finding something for every taste.  The food is well prepared by the owner and his small staff. The service is friendly and knowledgable, ready to help with selections.  The prices are amazingly low. This is a place to return to - often.

Three of us ventured in to Kenro's at 6:30 on a Friday with one of their "spend $15 for $25 worth of food vouchers. Each came with ample experience in Japanese cuisine. One of us lived in Japan for a while and adored the food.

Kenro's did not disappoint. The restaurant was only about half full. Service was prompt and interesting, thanks to our delightful server, Jessica. She fielded all questions and offered suggestions.

We each ordered a Bento Box dinner with three choices from an extensive list that even included fried Oysters. We began with an appetizer of Calimari Tempura, and it turned out to be the sole disappointment of the evening. Nondescript strips of rubbery meat were hidden in an otherwise excellent tempura batter. The meat resembled pencil eraser more than Calimari.

The Bento boxes arrived promptly and made up for the squid, if that's what it was. My salmon teriyaki / sesame chicken / mixed tempura was as good as I've had anywhere. The sauces were all good, too. The same can be said for the other choices. However, the fried battered oysters (kind of a panko crust) were just fair.

With three drinks, this triplet came to about $50 total, not bad. As a first timer at Kenro's, we will definitely become second timers.

Kenro's is a great Sushi restaurant which serves fresh and tender fish. He has an excellent selection of Sashimi & Nigiri and other Japanese dishes. Beer, sake and other drinks are readily available and the servers are friendly. The Uni is awesome! It is my favorite Sushi Bar in the Roseville area.
