“Sportsbar with good food and wide variety of beer”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

Diner at Yard House was worth trying this. A bit dark and loud, so felt like stepping into a sports bar. Many TV screens with sport channels on, but then the menu was good and they have over 120 beers, many international too. So with German Oktoberfest-beer, clam chowder and spicy Jambalaya for diner, it was a good evening. Service was good, fast and friendly.

“Wonderful beer selection and good food”
Reviewed March 14, 2014

Stopped her for lunch while on a recent business trip, and had an excellent experience. The beer selection is ridiculously huge, and the beer menu is nicely laid out by beer category. There is something for everyone.

Started out with the Lobster, Crab and Artichoke dip, which was a generous portion and very tasty. For my main course, I ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich which I also thought was very good. Our waiter was attentive and checked often to make sure we were doing well. I would definitely go back. Enjoyed it a lot.

“beer by the yard”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

the coconut shrimp are wonderful. I have the sauce on the side because I am a wimp and I have to do just tiny dips. The beer samplers are great! My husband and I share them and luckily his favorites are always different from mine. They are a bit pricey, but we still like it. The one big draw back is the noise level.

“Large selection of good food, but tough on conversation”
Reviewed March 7, 2014

We went for dinner on a balmy early evening. Between the parking lot and the restaurant we heard the patio sound, before we saw the place. Because we enjoy conversation with our meals, we asked for seating inside, to avoid that outside cacophony. No luck indoors. The acoustics are not well planned and the place, even around half full, was reverberant with a volume which made it necessary to either repeat or shout just to get our orders heard. That said, the food selection was wide, the beer and ale list endless, and the wine list not bad. We had the excellent spinach and cheese dip appetizer which came with toasted pita chips. Then my wife had the Lobster Garlic noodles and I had the Avocado Swiss Burger on a wheat bun. Both of the portions were very generous, the prices right, and the food excellent. We might return someday when we aren't in the mood to converse. (Reservations only for 7 or more. O.K. to call in advance for placement on the seating list.)
