From the very pleasant check-in to the spotlessly clean, well-appointed room to the excellent breakfast provided, I had a 5 star hotel experience! The pool area was rather small, but clean with lots of chairs and towels provided. The fitness center was also very nice. This hotel is close to lots of great shopping and restaurants, something I really appreciated being from a very small town with none of those amenities!

While the property itself is great, the lack of customer service definately kills the experience here.
We had booked a block of rooms for our soccer team, checking in was no a great experience, the girls seems very flustered as there were several people in line, and while she said she didnt mean to be rude, she was exteremly rude across the board. I normally hold all rooms on my card, and when parents check in they present their credit card. We have never had a problem at any other hotel, but on this one, we had a parent present their card, but the hotel charged mine. I immediately called the hotel to let them know of the error, no apology~ as a matter of fact the one woman tried to tell me that was the card swiped at checkin.. IMMPOSSIBLE, the card was NEVER at the hotel! Four days later the charge is still there, and still no word from the hotel, even after a phone call and a couple emails...WOW really!!! We wont be there again..

I loved this hotel. It is such a great deal for a good price. Hotel was new and our room was large including a living area, desk with high tech connections and a frig. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. It was located near a large shopping mall so finding food was easy. I just can't ask for more for such a reasonable price.

We booked this via priceline.com so we got a good price.

The hot breakfast was way above average. Every morning, there was some sort of special egg/meat/bread sandwich, like egg with ham and cheese on croissant. The other parts of the breakfast were good. Decent little snack bar too. We did order some late night food from the bar menu. It was pre-prepped stuff, but it wasn't bad.

One morning we missed the breakfast by a few minutes, yet the staff still got us something to eat, which was very nice. In fact, there wasn't a grumpy one in the bunch during our four night stay.

The rooms were clean. No bad stains or marks on the wall, etc. The fridge came in handy. No microwave, but the front desk let us pop our popcorn there. Nice TV with lots of hookups if you like gaming.

House keeping was great (and well tipped) but on one of the days we had to bust into the second roll of TP. The next evening, house keeping hadnt picked up the trash in the bath, and rather than install the second roll of TP just set it on the toilet. Other than that, she was on the ball.

The location is a little remote, but is reasonable to stay here and go to events in Sacramento. There is a great mall very close by. Fantastic restaurants. We didn't travel with kids, but the mall had very cool play spaces for kids.

I don't have a lot to add, except that the pool and spa area were also great. Clean and perfectly heated, with lots of lounge chairs and an abundance of fresh towels. The rooms are large and comfortable, with a seperate sitting area with sofa. Very relaxing. They have added a hot breakfast option to their complimentary breakfast (egg skillet sandwiches), and the kids were thrilled with all of the other options. This is an easy place to stay. We were on a quick, one-night stayover during a long road trip, and we liked the location so much that we added a second night. Adjacent to excellent shopping and good chain restaurants (Yard House, Whole Foods, etc.), we enjoyed easy access to entertainment and great food. The Hyatt Place is a cookie-cutter concept, where each property is virtually identical to the next (we've also stayed at Hyatt Place in Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga), but the concept still succeeds in creating a convivial atmosphere anda true "Hyatt" experience. Nothing unique, but rest-assured you'll have a great room, a warm pool, and a very comfortable stay. The service is top-notch, too.

Dear Copeym:

Sounds like you are a Hyatt Place veteran. Happy to hear your family had the opportunity to enjoy all of our amenities, like the heated pool and complimentary breakfast. Who doesn't like pancakes or fresh waffles? It's our goal that we maintain the brand standard across the country. Thank you for your feedback.
