We stopped off in Rosamond for lunch. It was a great break after the drive from Vegas. The Golden Cantina now has a new owner and new name is El Indio. The restaurant has wonderful Mexican food and you can't beat the view from the windows.

We had a two combination plate which was a beef taco, cheese enchilada, rice & beans. Everything was really great! The chips and salsa were freshly made and delicious.

This restaurant is not only great for those on a road trip, but it is a fantastic place to fly into for a great meal. The little airport/skypark is open for public use.

This is one of my favorite places to eat Mexican food. I like pretty much like everything on the menu. The same staff has been working there for years and are super nice. The view is wonderful. They have this huge picture window looking out on to the small airport, the desert and the Tehachapi mountains . Best time to go is near sunset to see nature at its best.

Golden Cantina is kind of out-of-the way, and unless someone tells you where it is you're unlikely to find it. The menu isn't great, but the food is good and the service is better than average. What makes Golden Cantina worth looking for is the view. Picture windows overlooking the airport and the wide-open desert line the north wall, and it's great to get a window seat and enjoy dinner as the sun sets. We go to Golden Cantina every time we're in the area.

Been going here for years and do feel it is one of the better Mexican Restaurants. Service is good and always with a smile. We always ask that the meals come out plenty warm when served. Had an unpleasant experience from one of their competitors. Food portions here are plenty and the prices are reasonable. Senior nights (Wednesday) are 20% off. Can't beat that!
