“Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We were seated outside, which as it turned out was great. It was still early enough to be very comfortable, not to hot.. Service was great, as always. Price of having a nice table, it was the furthest from the buffet, so there was a bit of a walk. Selection was Ok, food was also Ok.

“best restaurant i have ever been to. amazing hotel and food and service”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

I have no idea how anybody could not love the food and the mission inn hotel. the place is magical and amazing. i felt like i went on a trip to another country. the price for the prime rib buffet was very resonable 34 dollars, the food was great and such a selection of stuff to eat. if i could afford to i would eat here every day. I can not understand why anybody would not give this place a 10 plus plus. if you have a chance to try the sat prime rib buffet go for it. I cant wait to go back on a friday for the seafood buffet from 5 pm to 10 pm. or the thursday italian buffet. please do not be misled by some bad reviews, i can not understand why anybody would not rave about this place. just seeing the hotel is enough but the food was great. i wish i lived closer to riverside cause i would be here all the time..do not miss out , you will be missing a great great night out.

They offer weekly tours too and you get all the background info you need, lots of presidents stayed here (pictures in the lobby)
outdoor dining too (but i went to the sandwich place across the
pedestrian zone (Simple Simons). Note: the place is packed during christmas for their decorations and the horse carriage. MeuterMedia

“Excelente Restaurante Experiencia!”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

The Mission Inn restaurant is a wonderful place to dine in Riverside. From the beautiful building and grounds to the historic, appealing decor inside, this was a truly unique experience for these travelers from the east coast.

We were not overnight guests, so we arrived a few hours prior to our reservation and took time to tour most of the facility which covers what seems to be an entire city block. The staff even encouraged us to head up the elevator to the fourth floor where we could enjoy a beautiful view of the Spanish patio below as well as some of the other architectural features of the hotel.

The food was not what I would rate as the best I have ever eaten, but it was certainly very good. I had the barramundi with a nice glass of Italian Pinot Grigio and the fish was prepared and presented nicely. For dessert, my wife and eldest daughter both enjoyed the crème brulee with fresh berries and I was able to sample a bite -- very nice!

Our total group numbered five persons and everyone was satisfied with their meal. Our waiter - Anthony - was very attentive and pleasant and the additional wait staff was also diligent in making sure that our glasses as well as the bread basket remained full. The black olive bread was exceptional!

The best part of the dining experience was the Spanish patio. The inside of the restaurant is very beautiful, but there is something to be said about dining outside, especially on a pleasant spring evening in a place as beautiful as the Mission Inn. I have attached a few pictures to this review that don't do justice to the beauty, so go check it out for yourself. You shouldn't be disappointed!

“Anniversary Weekend”
Reviewed June 24, 2013 via mobile

I wanted to surprise my wife with this 1 night getaway, it was perfect the front desk supervisor, Jeremy, was great and gave me a great deal on the Presidential Suite. The atmosphere was incredible. We live down the road a bit but we felt like we were completely in a different area. Food was outstanding, we ate at Duane's, but every moment was great.
