Cafe Sevilla in Riverside located right across the spaghetti factory, between Mission Inn Ave and University ave. One one block east of the 91 freeway. They also have locations in Long Beach and Sam Diego
Ambiance is nice and try to make it similar to old building inSpan. Service is good all waiters are friendly courteous and knowledgeable of the menu. No complains about service. We ve been here several times and always service been great.
They serve tapas. If you expect abundance. Tapas may not be for you or you may have to order quiet a few and they are not cheap. They are usually small portions, but if you like to have a few drinks enjoy good food and a good conversation. I believe you will enjoy tapas. We’ve tried quiet a few from the menu and so far no complains. Cafe Sevilla deliver, good solid flavor. Some of favorites. Traditional paella, ceviche, octopus, empanadas, Cordero, pinchos de pollo, salchichas
They also have dinner shows which include a 3 course modest meal and a Flamenco show. Really a nice show. Really enjoyed it. It runs you about 60 er person.
Of you are I the area-and want a nice dinner in a ni e ambiance and opportunity to try different flavors with different tapas, I believe you will enjoy this place.

I know that people who did not have a good experience wish that they could give negative stars, well I am in the same boat: I wish there was a negative star button that I could click to give a less than zero review. Below is what actually happened to us: We came here for my birthday for the New Years Eve Flamenco show with 4 course dinner. The price was $158 + TAX AND 18% "suggested" gratuity. They are very firm about making sure that they verbally enforce that there is an 18% gratuity and make it seem like it's required. There is a reason that I am stating this. You'll see in a moment. So we made our reservations 2 weeks ahead of time and the person that I spoke to on the phone by the name of Rafael, stated that we could not even make a reservation without paying in advance. So, we were like, "ok that's fine. no problem", because there has been so much hype with this place and I had always wanted to come here being that I am of Spanish descent. MONEY WAS NOT THE ISSUE FOR US...obviously we had allocated for this night. The Flamenco show was phenomenal. If it were not for the professionals up on stage, I would have asked for all my money back. So the show is about 3/4 of the way done and we still did not have our main course. My husband started looking around and literally everyone around us had been served their main course except us. The servers were not attentive at all and did not pay attention to our table the majority of the night except when they were bringing our food. NO ONE took notice that our main course was not on the table, even when a waiter walked by us. I had to grab his shirt to ask him why ours was not there. He said, "sorry, I'm new. I don't know I will go find out for you." When he brought it out, it was almost cold as well. We chose the arugula salad for the 1st course; it was fine; nothing to write home about or gourmet about it, but fine. For the second course we chose the Lobster Bisque soup. (we normally do not eat shellfish or pork, but made an exception since the options were limited). The soup was almost cold when it came out to us and all we could taste was the Lobster. There was nothing else that stood out about it. The lobster overpowered the soup. gross. We tried to eat it, but most of it was just a bunch of shellfish, which did not have any seasoning on it. The rice was soggy. (paella rice is supposed to be slightly crispy on the top). I felt like I was eating a huge bowl of shells. There was a good amount of rice at the bottom, but the flavor was so overpowered with shellfish that I had a very hard time eating it. I almost had the urge to vomit. I am not exaggerating. I still tried to eat it; To make the best of it. There was a mini squid or something which was rubbery and again no flavoring. I took one bite then put the rest down. There was one piece of chicken in the middle (about 4 ounces). The chicken was dry and overcooked and had no flavor. I figured that the lobster would be edible. I plucked it out of its shell and bit into it. I don't know what was wrong with it and I have eaten lobster before and it usually has a slight firmness to it while being juicy at the same time. This one was like eating a huge loogie. no joke! I had to spit it out. I ate as much rice as a could (since we were still starving) and ended up leaving most of it in the pan. After eating it my stomach felt queasy and I had to drink water and the rest of my wine to make the awful taste get out of my mouth and try not to vomit. The only thing that was good and that was authentic was the wine, which actually came from Spain itself and which Cafe Sevilla did not get their incompetent hands on. So when you first have the table set when you get there, they give you one butter knife and two forks. For a four-course meal, there should be enough for all four courses. There wasn't. So I asked our actual waitress for a fork and she said sure, no problem. She first took a long time to come back then first served all the other tables their deserts and walked by us and did not give us forks. I asked her, "can we please have our forks now?" She gave me a snotty look then returned with 2 SPOONS. The cake was supposed to be some sort of "almond cake" but it tasted like plain carrot cake. all that would have been fine up until the bill came and, remember we had PAID IN ADVANCE for the price of 2 tickets ($79 per person) totaling $158, so our bill should have only included the drinks we purchased and the tax and gratuity. The bill was $193. I pulled the waitress (Sally) aside and asked her what the $40 credit on our bill was and she said it was our "prepaid deposit". I thought to myself that was strange. I explained to her that we had paid in advance $158. OK: this is the part that really upset me the most. She blinked her eyes twice, gave me a snotty look & smirk as if she didn't believe that we had paid in advance and almost accused me of lying. I told her that I had a transaction number even (just in case something like this should happen), and she wouldn't even let me finish talking and didn't want the transaction number and started walking away with my money and ticket in hand. I was in disbelief at her attitude. I was upset. I walked to the back and the waitress made eye contact with me but ignored me and walked by. I went to where the manager was and NO ONE SAID A WORD TO ME or asked me if I needed help. I asked the manager to help me and He didn't even turn his back and just slightly turned around with a credit card in his hand and said, "I'm helping someone else". (He was scanning multiple cards one after another). I said, no, I need to speak with you now. (since I had been kept waiting and not even acknowledged). he ignored.I went back to my table l sat there for at least another 10 minutes or so before the waitress came over with the corrected bill. I told her how unhappy I was at her treatment of me and that this was my birthday and she made me have a bad experience. She NEVER said sorry. She kept giving me that same snotty look and kept trying to walk away, and I told her, "I'm not finished speaking". She said, "well I am in a hurry". She did not care about anything she did. She said, "what would you like me to do." I said, "well are you sorry?" she did not say sorry! I said, "I want my gratuity back". She handed me the gratuity money which she already had in her hand. My question to the restaurant is this: why would a waitress not know that the dinner was prepaid and act as if she didn't know and make a customer feel as if they were trying to skip the bill? I was so insulted! I want the owner to know how we were treated. This was my BIRTHDAY dinner. If you do not tell the owner, I will keep calling back until I speak with him directly. I have no idea, other than ignorance why others are giving good reviews.

We come here often, our favorite date night spot in Riverside. The staff is amazing, Heber is our favorite bartender, not only does he make like the best drinks ever, he’s so personable. The Spanish guitar performances are amazing. Jesse is who you want as a server. Seriously you must visit Sevilla’s tapas bar and you’ll wish you would’ve visited sooner.

Consistently delicious for Sunday brunch, lunch, and dinner ! We are regular customers to Cafe Seville and we always enjoy the ambiance and food here. But on our last visit back to late September less than two months ago, Sunday Brunch Buffet opened 15 minutes late even though many people were outside waiting. Other than that, everything and every experience has been good. We love their Sunday Brunch due to it's reasonable price and great presentation and selection of food. The omelette, waffle, and crepe chef made excellent dishes. On Sunday Brunch, one thing we love is the free paella dish. The four of us enjoyed a good portion of a family sized paella. They serve one glass of mimosa or sangria to each person. We got to enjoy two glasses since my parents only ordered orange juice and coffee. We will keep coming back and continue to take more relatives and guests to taste the delicious food and great ambiance ! Highly Recommended!
