“Dirty Place Never Again”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2009

I went here with my husband as a kind of impromptu dinner. The meat in my food tasted "off" and after just one bite didnt eat the rest. I thought it was my picky palate again, but I was wrong. Within a few hours I was sick. I ended up being sick most of the next day. The health department went to the restaurant and closed it for the weekend because of cockroach infestation, rotten meat, and lack of refrigeration for raw food. That was not even their first warning. Normally I like family owned simple Mexican restaurants, but their attitude is negligent and dangerous.
So incredibly disappointing, but I will be on the lookout for another place to eat Mexican food.

The best hands down mexican food in the riverside area. I have drove an hour or more to get back to this place. Service is tediously slow but everything is made fresh and by hand. Try your burrito deep-fried, especially the calabasitas burrito!

Prices are amazinly low as well, even through all these years you can still eat for about $5; the only drawback is that you have to pay for refills on soda. Order iced tea and get free refills!

“Yummy mexican food, very relaxing atmosphere, LOCAL place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2009

Enjoyed dinner one night here, walked over from the Courtyard Marriot a block away. Local ma and pop type place, very cozy and great food! Very reasonable prices and enjoyed my meal here. I had the chicken taco and chicken enchilada - everything was great.

“Great Burritos, chips, salsa”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2009

Great mexican fare. Chile colorado burrito is the best!!! Flavorful and home style dishes and atmosphere. Super reasonable prices for all the food and drink! Can get quite busy sometimes, but patience and lots of chips and salsa with ice cold beer helps pass the time.
