“Classy Coffee in Riverside”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2012

Who would have thought that a back east style coffee shop could exist in the a megatropolis, known for cooperate everything, but here it is; the last bastion of non-corporate coffee culture. It is perfect for hanging out, studying, and yes even reading. Go to here, ASAP!

“My favorite coffee shop ever.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2012

Back to the grind is the kinda place that made me like Riverside. In downtown Rside, quite an amazing place, both architecturally and socially speaking. People are all unique and queer in their own way - by this I mean that every one is welcomed, unique and non judgmental whatever they are. People are in general really friendly and it's not rare to rare a good chat with some random people.
Drinks are not that expensive, good, and the staff is particularly cool. Try their smoothies or their Iced Americano triple shot.
Vegan food is amazing. I'd particularly recommend Humus & Pita and/or chocolate expresso bar. Litteraly orgasmic.
There's always a nice vibe. During the day, the atmosphere is really chill - and getting there before hitting another city or just spending time and studying / reading / talking was definitely one of the best things to do in riverside. On the evening, the crowd is quite different but always fun - getting a coffee there before hitting bars (i.e. menagerie next door or Mario's) or spending the night downstairs for the various open mic / performances - always good - is definitely a must do.

The only downside is the WiFi - working one time out of two.

“The authentic neighborhood coffee shop!”

Authentic, cozy and friendly, they don't sell "neighborhood feeling" they ARE the old world corner coffee shop where people meet, chat and unwind... Plus, coffee IS great!

“Best local coffee!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2012

The owner manager is an awesome guy. This place has great local atmosphere, and is a comfortable place to have a conversation and take a break in the middle of the day. The architecture is interesting, much more San Francsico than Riverside, and the artwork is always changing. There is even a basement gallery, Ms. Pacman machine, and patios in front and back. Bring your own mug for 85 cent coffee!!!
