I stayed at this hotel last weekend for a conference. It was recently renovated and it looked great. We stayed in a King Room on the Club Level With a "Marina" view was very comfortable and the view of sunrise was spectacular. It was easy to forget that LAX was a short 8 miles away. It has great access to local restaurants, the beach, and a pier where Pelicans, seals, and dolphins all played in the water.
The staff were incredibly helpful and we ate breakfast at "Splash" restaurant ever morning. The food was good with a large selection of fresh fruit, great coffee, and a chef making omelets to order.
When you book, choose "Club" level. With it you get access to a great onsite gym and a $3.00 breakfast everyday. Before you book, check to see if the Lounge is open in the afternoon for snacks.

Finally I highly recommend:
Baleen kitchen - the food was great and the service was spectacular. Which is a short 5 minute walk from the hotel.
The Chart House - which is about a 1/2 mile from the hotel. It has lovely views of the crashing waves and great food.

Room tip: Make sure the you choose the Club Level as that gives you access to more amenities. I also recommend getting a room with a ocean//marina view. We stayed in 5020. Nice room.

Maria Elena Castillo is an outstanding member of the hotel, she always has a smile and is so helpful towards the guests. I have been a guest for many years and her professional attitude is outstanding such a pleasure to see each morning.

Maria Elena has been employed for many years at the hotel and she is the reason i keep returning each year, she is very much "old school" which is so refreshing these days, her customer service skills are remarkable.

Room tip: the rooms facing the marina are very special wonderful view

Hello Ms. Foster,
I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay, particularly in regards to the service you were offered by Maria Elena Castillo, our Concierge. You are right, she has been with us for many years and is very knowledgeable about the area and truly enjoys taking care of our guests. We have just hired a new Assistant Concierge, Janid, so that we can now offer concierge coverage seven days a week and thereby offer even greater levels of service to our guests.

Newly and tastefully redone. Booked a standard queen room but was given a free upgrade to a high floor with balcony and lovely view of ocean and marina. King size bed in a large room with lovely furniture. soothing beige with blue and dark brown accents. nice toiletries. Courteous staff at front desk. Expensive parking and wifi isn't free.

Thank you for your feedback. Glad that you enjoyed the ocean view room, you may know that we have renovated all the guestrooms and meeting rooms and we have received many favorable comments about them. We do surveys of parking rates in the area and ours are comparable to other hotels of our type. We do charge for wi fi, but you can minimize this expense by choosing the $4.95 plan which allows you to get in for up to 5 hours to answer email and surf the net.

Quality hotel in Redondo Beach. Walking distance to the pier, nice pool area. This is a good choice if not the best if you want to stay in a high quality hotel in Redondo Beach. Our stay was a bit expensive but worth it. I did never use their restaurant, We took a walk down to the pier, and there you can find many good choices, I do recommend Tonys...and if you want a quick bit choose one of the many seafood venues, taste great if you like it deep fried :)

Many thanks for your favorable review, glad you enjoyed our location and pool area. Also, glad you were able to sample some food in the area restaurants...please check out our Splash restaurant next time, we have some great food and beverage in there, lots of seafood as well, and it is not deep fried!

The Redondo area is fun with great views of the marina and ocean - this hotel is newly remodeled and excellent access to the local restaurants and beach. Ask for a ocean view and you willnor be dissapointed. The loby is beautiful with a large glass square acquarium and comfortable seating throughout. A $35 cab ride to LAX makes this an easy stop. Parking is $27/day so forget the car (besides, who wants to drive in LA traffic!) We walked everywhere and found great local restaurants and beach access everywhere.

Room tip: Ask for an ocean view. The streetside rooms at the back of the hotel would be noisy.

Glad you enjoyed our new rooms, we are very excited about our renovated guestrooms and meeting rooms! I worked at LAX for 8 years before coming here last year and I know what you mean about the traffic there.
Look forward to you next visit.
