“For the real seafood lovers this is a hit”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Remember the days of going to redondo beach pier, grabbing a mallet and whaling on some crablegs, enjoy peeling jumbo shrimp, lobster or an obscene amount of fish. Now that its not quite the same due to crowds ,just north of the pier is captain kidds just like the pier used to be. Very nice and yes the mallets are there. My wife and I love this place and you will too. Ohh my apologizes for those that arent familiar with the pier, its the best place to get down and dirty with every kind of shellfish known to man. Please let me know what you think

“Cracking Your Crab on Old Wood Tables”
Reviewed October 28, 2012 via mobile

Order your crab, spread out some newspaper on the inside or outside wood tables, grab a beer and watch the game on their TV, what could be better. This is a retro type place that flourished in the 1960s & 1970s. Order your food, they call your number and you are good to go. This place does not try to be something it is not. If you are looking for tablecloths and waiters, this is not the place for you. If you want fresh fish cooked any way you like or crab to crack open and eat, this is the place. Try the Ciopinno, it is delicious. I even had a crab Louie salad and it was fresh and good. Plenty of parking right near the Redondo Beach Pier. Don't dress up, come as you are and enjoy eating!

“Fish Tacos Yum”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

I love me a good fish taco and these were some of the best I've ever had. Much like other reviews that I've read, this place is kind of confusing, but it was worth it!

“Poor food”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

The food is not good quality, over fried and soggy fries.
The place smells not that fresh at all, and it's rather dirty and unkept.
Very expensive for the quality and type of place.
The view is mainly of the car park!

“Quality seafood, expensive”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

We have been stopping by this place for years and this was our last time. The food is good but nothing special and expensive and so are the drinks.
