Stayed here on my way to Oregon, and really had a great time at this hotel. Room rates were very affordable, nice clean rooms, and overall just nice hotel. It was an easy thirty dollars cheaper than the others on the exit. Overall it's a nice place.

We booked this hotel because it said it was pet friendly. We had to be in Redding for a wedding and so we were only going to have to leave the dog at the hotel for a couple hours during the day. The hotel staff called us while we were out and told us we weren't allowed to leave the dog in the room because he was making noise. This was at 5 o'clock at night. I can understand if the dog were howling in the middle of the night, but whimpering at 5 in the afternoon is cause for complaint? Hm.

The staff was really rude about it and acted like were abusing our dog which is the opposite! We love him so much we wanted to bring him! So we had to bring our dog to the reception of the wedding and keep him in the car and finally the reception venue staff said he could stay on their patio. If they don't want to allow pets in their hotel, I feel like that is completely understandable but I don't think they should advertise themselves as a pet friendly hotel.

Other than the pet fiasco, the hotel itself was not great. If they wouldn't have been so rude about it I probably wouldn't care. I just don't appreciate being treated like scum!

I usually like ramadas, but this place was bad from the begining,, lousy breakfast, had no A/c that worked proferly and had a very noisey room with all the I-5 road traffic, definely will not stay here next time, nNOT WORTH THE PRICE AT ALL

Room Tip: try LA QUINTA instead, I know I will

When arriving at this Ramada, to put it simply, you get what you pay for in hotels. It’s an inexpensive stay for a simple room. We stayed here in June after numerous flight cancellations and we had to find a place to rest in the middle of the night. The new Fairfield Inn by Marriott was booked full as was the Hilton Garden Inn. Of the options that were left the Ramada seemed like the best bet.

The rooms are clean and well maintained. The front desk staff was friendly and attentive – even in the middle of the night. Despite the hotel having a non-smoking policy, as we parked and walked into the hotel, there was a man standing in the window of his top floor room staring at us while smoking. And then when we arrived on our floor, which was different than the floor we had seen the man on, the elevator landing area and the hallway was filled with an extremely strong smell of marijuana. As my wife is pregnant we feared that our room would smell the same and we would have to change rooms but the smell did not penetrate into our room. We grew up in Northern California and understand the liberal openness of the pot culture in the more rural areas but it sure seemed like there was a lot of smoking going on in a non-smoking hotel.

In the morning the hotel offers a nice free continental breakfast where you can grab a muffin or make a waffle for yourself before hitting the road.

By no means is this a luxurious hotel but it serves its purpose to offer you a safe and clean stay at an affordable rate.

Room clean and recently redone. Advertised indoor pool and spa. Spa had big pieces of broken Tile and gravel and was not corded off. Pool had layer of hair and lotion floating in pool and poorly kept. Was looking forward to swim after hot drive , but didn't want to get in after seeing that. Air conditioner in window worked ok , but was lagging as well. It was however about $30 cheaper than others I called at the last minute on the freeway. Farfield Marriott across the street didn't have any rooms available otherwise I would have probably stayed there.

Room Tip: North side has a view

Overnight on our road trip. We were surprised to see Mt. Shasta from our 3rd floor room.
We weren't able to see it the day before. Staff was very nice and room was one of the best on our 21 day trip.

Room Tip: Quite location away from highway noise.
