We were traveling from Los Angeles to Portland, Oregon. Nasty weather had slowed us down and we were forced to take shelter in Redding, CA.

The Best Western Hilltop's staff was top notch. They assisted us upon check-in, provided us with weather information, helped us to our room, provided us with all of the information for snacks/breakfast (which was included in the room price).

The Room was clean, and not overly dated. We faced Hilltop Road (not the freeway) so the room didn't seem noisy at all. Quite the contrary, it was quiet!!!

This is a good motel. It's not the four seasons, but it does well what it is suited for (a highway motel). It's a tad bit pricey but honestly I think you get what you pay for. The breakfast was excellent!!! I would stay here again!!!!

My husband and I stayed here one night enroute to Lassen Volcanic National Park. The room was clean and comfortable, but the best part of the stay was the full hot breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I enjoyed this hotel so much. The staff were polite and helpful, the rooms clean and the pool was a lot of fun. We stayed there a few nights, and on our first night I heard a lot of noise in the parking lot after 10 PM. I called the front office and within 10 minutes all was quiet. The free breakfast was the best that I have experienced, and the Restaurant there, C. R. Gibbs, has a great atmosphere as well. This is the hotel that we will always use when in Redding.

We stayed a couple nights at this motel. Great staff, awesome restaurant! Our room though smelled musty, shower and water not hot enough, just luke warm and on the day we left the toilet chain to the inside plunger broke so we had to take the lid off to flush. All in all a good place to say, just needs a little updating to the rooms??

We just came back from 7 days, 7hotels in Oregon, never a problem great staff, great places excellent vacation, stop here was just the opposite terrible everything. 2:30 pm stop here stayed here a couple of times before. Wife goes in gets 2 different prices $149, but were haveing a special for $119, No rooms clean on bottom floor ITS 2:30pm, only on top, i go in lady all of a sudden has 1 room on bottom floor for $149, next to major door, then other lady says OH we have rooms for $99 by the freeway side, nothing but lies. Ask to see gm ED Rullman hes gone on vacation, Ask to you only clean just the top rooms, Joy say's we do them first, i ask but what if i want a bottom room she says come back later. Joy, and here partner are just totally Rude!! either of them don't have a clue what to do. I ask again if senior people come in here and have to have a bottom room beacause of their age to you tell them to come back later Joy says' yes we do. I finally could not get a straight answer so my wife and i showed them our business card, We run a hotel in northern califronia and we have been doing it for 9 years, Never have i ever heard anybody tell me the story's you told us, we would never do this to our guest, we want them to come back. Best Western is a great company, i am sure they don't know this is going on or they would put a stop to it, Ed the gm left my #number but i will never here from him. He might want to make some drastic changes for the good of the hotel, I', sure best western would. The rooms also are very dated, and need some changes. Maybe some changes here would help it use to be very nice, but with this staff, i will never come back.

Our stay here was very pleasant! Our room was nicely updated, clean and comfortable. There was a small fridge, coffee maker, a somewhat dated blowdryer and makeup mirror and wireless access. The pool was clean and quite popular due to the 105 degree summer heat.
Breakfast was very good with a decent selection of hot items such as eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausages and bacon, cereal and fruit. The coffee was mediocre however.
Service was friendly and helpful
Overall, we were very happy with our stay. We usually stay at 4-5 star hotels but we picked this hotel for it's convenient location to Turtle Bay, Lake Shasta and Lassen. We'd definitely stay here again. It was clean, convenient and priced well.
