“great stay”
Reviewed March 20, 2012

This was a great place for us to get away. Close enough to the freeway to get there quickly but far enough from wherever you weer to feel somewhere else. The peace and quiets was great and we really enjoyed our stay.

We recently stayed at Bridge House while visiting our son. We can't way enough nice things about the experience. The Bridge House is beautifully decorated and maintained. There is a piano in the main common room, so we played a bit while we were there. There are a lot of great photographs and autographs throughout the house.

The location is great for Redding. It is only a few blocks from the main part of the old town. It is easy to walk to and from, but a car would be needed for any longer journeys. We went to Shasta Mountain and the Sundial Bridge, driving to both.

The Sundial room is excellent! It is quite roomy and extremely comfortable.

Finally, Janelle is the best host. She greeted us when we arrived and pointed out a couple places to eat and visit. She has a great story about how she got started, so be sure to ask. She is friendly and helpful. Best of all she makes a mean breakfast. Everything was healthy and flavorful. Not just a great B&B, Janelle is a great person!

We can't recommend enough this as the place to stay in the area!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Sundail room.

My wife and I, visiting from Great Britain, stayed just for one night during our tour of N.California and Oregon. Our room was superb, quiet, beautifully decorated and equipped and with an excellent view. Breakfast was magnificent and the bacon was, I promise you, the best we had in the USA! Our host was welcoming and concerned to make sure we got the most from our brief but most enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: River view room was light and airy with a small balcony.

We were looking for a comfortable waypoint on our 25 day northern California exploration, and found it here! Wish we had stayed 1 or 2 nights longer to recharge here...excellent!

We were looking for somewhere a little special to stay to break up our trip between Portland, Or and San Jose, Ca. The Bridge House more than met our expectations. Friendly hostess who always responded quickly to our trip planning queries, a very, very comfortable bed, a most welcome jetted tub (after the 6 hour drive), excellent breakfast and an array of cookies, tea etc. waiting in the lobby for the weary traveler. There is even a small work-out room located on the 2nd floor. Free parking in the rear and free WIFI. Many nearby restaurants and shopping.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have jetted tubs.

This is one of my favorite B&Bs in the area. Everything was so perfect-the decor, comfort, cleanliness, relaxing and the yummy home cooked breakfast! There were alot of little extras that made our stay great from the cookies and tea to greet us upon arrival, the local Mt Shasta spring water and chocolates in the room, and all the local recommendations for activities and food! Janelle was so friendly and warm and her house is very inviting! Cant wait to come back!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Dog Creek Room

Stayed here one night on a road trip and enjoyed the room and breakfast. We had
ricotta pancakes, sausages and scrambled eggs along with fresh fruit. We also enjoyed the breakfast company, all very pleasant and interesting people.
