“Nice place and location”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

We were passing thru from Seattle to Los Angeles and decided to stay here. Made reservations online before hand and checked in late. The staff was very friendly when we arrived and helpful. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was just perfect. A king size bed in each of the bedrooms. It was wonderful. We didn't use the pool or have breakfast as we got an early start again, but it looked very good and the pool looked very nice. When we come back thru here again, we will stay here again. I love the new lay out that Towneplace Suites has started with in the 2 bedroom suites in their newer hotels. Very nice! In addition to the place being so nice, they are also located close to loads of shopping and a very large shopping mall. We will be back!

If you are looking for an extended stay hotel, the TownePlace Suites in Redding is an excellent choice. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. They have excellent referrals for restaurants if you want to eat out, and they can suggest places to visit and things to do during your stay. It was very nice to be recognized by name when I was arriving back to the property after work in the evenings and being wished a good morning by name by both the front desk staff and the breakfast staff.

The rooms have a good size kitchen with all the dishes, pots, pans and utensils you would need if you would like to cook in your room. There is a 2 burner electric stovetop, an good size microwave oven, a good size refrigerator, and a full size dishwasher in the room.

I had a problem the first night with the television having had a previous guest set the "parental controls" that blocked almost every channel. I went to the front desk, and Geoff (the manager on duty) came right to my room, took the number off the television and went back to the office to call the service provider to remove the block. He then called my room and asked if the channels were now available, and they were.

I just stayed there a week for work, and will definitely stay here again when I am in Redding for work in the future.

Room Tip: This is a new hotel. The rooms are good size and clean. There isn't a lot of noise anywhere in...

We have stayed here overnight several times since it opened last year. It is still very new and shiny, and a very comfortable stopping off place, halfway between So Cal and Seattle. It's right next door to Hampton where we used to stay, but this new hotel has one feature that we really appreciate, and that's the full-size refrigerator to store all the stuff out of our cooler overnight. Because the rooms have a full kitchen, they don't seem inclined to provide a "hot" breakfast, so the breakfast selections are limited, and the only oatmeal is the kind in bags that you cook in the microwave. But the rooms are very clean, nicely decorated, extremely comfortable beds, windows that open, flat screen TV, fast internet, good showerhead. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The room was OK, large enough and with a kitchenette. The worst thing about it was the noisy air conditioner that would cycle continuously: we had to wear earplugs to sleep. The bed was not too comfortable and the "light" breakfast was not too exciting (packaged sweets, instant oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, boiled eggs), but at least you are warned by that "light" definition of it. Trader Joe's is just minutes away, however, so that helps a lot. There was a hair on the bathroom sink that sat there for 3 days, so I don't think the place is clean. All the staff was very friendly. For those so inclined, there is an awesome pub (Ale House) within walking distance from the hotel.

We stayed here on Labor Day weekend for our visit to Lassen Volcanice National Park. The park is still about one hour East, but it is pretty rural between Redding and Lassen. The drive to Lassen is very easy and pleasant, but very windy at high elevations with a lot of switchbacks within Lassen. This hotel is only a few months old, so everything was in great condition. The beds were very comfortable and nice and firm. I would have to agree with the previous reviewers. The one thing that really stood out about this location was how friendly the staff was...the front desk staff and especially the Breakfast Lady! Super nice woman! This hotel was very conveniently located to several chain family restaurants and other local eateries. The hotel is also close to the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay Park too. The only downside was that the swimming pool was tiny and there was no hot tub. Other than that, a very enjoyable stay!

Room Tip: I think the rooms near the pool would be noisy.

We stopped here on our way back home after camping at Crater Lake. This was perfect. It was comfortable, very clean and the kitchen was great. It had a full size fridge so I could unpack the cooler, clean everything up and cook up all the leftovers for breakfast!

I've recommended this place to everyone I know who drives up to Oregon or anywhere that Redding is a usual stop.

I cannot say enough about the friendliness of the staff at this extended stay hotel. I stayed there weekly for 3 months. everyone treated me like family and a special guest. They went out of their way to see to my needs with a smile. You will not be disappointed. Oh yeah and the property is new, modern and with special amenities like a patio with fireplace! Gas grill. And largest in room work area I have encountered. Granite countertops and full kitchen with dishwasher, 17 cubic foot refrigerator and 2 burner glass cooktop. Just very well-designed.
