Owner description: Scheduled for completion in Summer 2004, this unusually designed bridge, functioning as a sundial at one end and conveying a sense of weightlessness, connects the north and south campuses of Turtle Bay Exploration Park.

“People watching on the bridge”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2013

We enjoyed watching people have a good time and seeing fishermen pass under the bridge while fishing. Some even caught a fish.

“Very Cool!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

This is the largest working sundial in the world! The bridge itself is cool ... the deck is made of glass, granite and steel and is sort of a smooth blue-ish colour. Right next to it is the Turtle Bay museum/coffee shop which is a nice place to stop and enjoy an iced mocha while people watching.

“Great Bridge over Sacramento-River”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013

Awesome architecture, nice to walk over and great to spend some time on the river enjoying the silence or the botanic garden next to the bridge. Unfortunately only a tiny little souvenir-shop where you can buy soft-drinks and sweets is close to the bridge.

“Best part of Redding if you are in the area.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

A great way to spend your afternoon with friends or family. Last few times i went was not too busy, plenty of trails to walk or ride bike. The bridge is really cool, looks even better at night. Redding to me is the most boring place i have ever been, but the bridge area and parks help it some when forced to come here.

“Good fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013

We were in Redding for a business trip & took the time to walk over the bridge & enjoy the gardens nearby. It was lovely and a great break from driving! I hope to go again next time I'm in Redding. The bridge is really amazing. It was fun to see so many people of different ages out enjoying the area.
