After I read all the positive comments I almost feel guilty for not agreeing with all the other posters. We stayed her for 4 nights and it was 3 nights too many. Our room was tiny, stuffed full with furniture. The bathroom was very tiny. The sink area was separated from the bathroom. There was a full sized microwave placed on the already small vanity storage area. On the floor under the closet rod was the little fridge. It was nice to have a fridge, but it was not a in very practical location. The air conditioning had a problem; every time the compressor started it made a loud rattling noise. Parking on weekends is definitely a problem. Guest ended up parking on the street or in the parking lot belonging to another business across the street. I do not want to complain about a free breakfast but neither or breakfast or the restaurant was very appealing. On the bright side, the staff was very friendly and the property was very clean.

Five people staying this weekend wrote reviews whic you can read below. Four of which enjoyed their stay. Let's see if I can help address their concerns.

We do have some small single queen rooms. We also have spacious queen rooms and even a few roomy single king rooms. We are well known for our huge kitchen and kitchenettes (so huge you can dance w/ your sweety!)
We also have several rooms that are interlocked and connected if guests desire more space. We have a sleepy bear room with two queen beds and an attached room with a double bed in a "sleepy bear" motif'.

By our franchise agreement, as for furniture. we provide a table and two chairs, night stands and a bed end ottoman (I love those.)
The sink has a vanity with a full size mirror. This is right beside the area with the toliet and shower only separated by a privicy door
We have placed full size microwaves in all rooms - this was at the request by a majority of our returning guests. Many establishments either don't have microwaves or provide low watt small units that fail to serve the guests very well.

As for parking, we do fill up on weekends. On occassion some do use our curb parking. It's actually some of the best spots we have. I PERSONALLY always park in front of the hotel on the curb. There is no parking in another lot belonging to another business. We do not nor have we had to park in another business's parking.
Guest w/ moving trucks, trailiers, boats and semi's are advised to call ahead for specific attention. Larger vehicles often prefer and are better served with our easy access/exit curb parking.
The only frustration I have with situations like those mentioned here - for staying with us for four days, I wish we were told while the guest was here so we could have attempted to provide some assistance and correction.

Thanks to Travelodge Redding for making a wonderful weekend even more wonderful. The pool was beautiful, we splashed for hours before a wedding we were to attend and then first thing Sunday morning before the long drive home. The room was cool, quiet, well stocked, and comfortable. Love having a refrigerator and microwave for those late night snacks travelling with kids. If in Redding again, we will chose Travelodge.

Me and my husband were on a road trip from San Francisco to Oregon coast and chose this hotel for our overnight stay because of so many good reviews. We were not disapointed! The place was simple, but quiet and clean, beds were comfortable and we had a good night rest. The complimentary breakfast in the next door cafe was tasty and filling - they make really delicious pancakes. I would definately recomend this place for my friends and other travellers.

It's obvious from the time you drive in the entrance that someone at this motel really likes what they're doing. The grounds inside and out were clean and well maintained. Every employee we dealt with was courteous and ready to ensure we were comfortable while away from home. The room was great, we loved the pool, and even the included breakfast was adequate. If the management reads these reviews -- THANK YOU for taking some pride in your work! It shows.

What a great place to stay! We stayed at the Redding Travelodge this past weekend. We were in town for a wedding and had reserved several rooms. The staff was most gracious with all the calls we made to add rooms, cancel rooms, etc. We arrived in 100+ temp weather, our room was ready and very cool. Our room was very spacious, clean and updated. We had a fridge and microwave. The pool was clean and very nice, we spent alot of time there. The only drawback is that the beds
are not comfortable, they are hard. The location is good, not alot of
places to walk to but easy to drive. One recommendation, go see the Sundial Bridge at night! I will be staying at this hotel again this summer as it is a treat to find a nice, clean hotel that the average family can afford. Thank you Redding Travelodge for making our stay very enjoyable and your prices affordable!

Like others on the site, I read the reviews and booked based on that. I agree with all the rave reviews - excellent service in a very comfortable motel. We had just come from hiking in Mt. Shasta and were exhausted. We were greeted with efficient and friendly front desk staff and proceeded to make use of the pool and the hot tub. In our short stay we recharged and left stunned at how this was possible for $82.

I've never written a review before but felt I must because it was the reviews that I read online that led my wife and I to choose this accomodation. We stayed here for 4 nights June 19-22 2007. I booked the room 4 months in advance via their toll free number and talked with Kevin who was very friendly and helpful. I called the motel as we were leaving our previous stop and was told the room was empty and we could check in early. When we arrived it must have been 95 degrees out. The air conditioning was already on and the room was immaculate and fresh smelling unlike some rooms that smell stale or musty. It was very spacious and well laid out. Large counter off the bathroom with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a rather large TV. Just very impressed with the cleaness. You can tell this place is well maintained throughout. The pool had plenty of chaise lounges and chairs as well as a table and umbrella. The two very large Palm Trees were an awesome complement to the pool area and added some nice shade. The cleaning staff was pleasant and eager to please as well. Just an all round relaxing and enjoyable experience. Recommend to anyone. We will be back next year.
