“Great place, yummy food, ok location”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

This place is next to a gas station, which I tend to avoid at all costs. Due to the urban spoon reviews, we planned to stop here on our way from the Bay Area to Oregon. Once we arrived, I decided to overlook my bias about eating next to gas stations and went it. What a lovely little cafe. We had the Ruben sandwich...one with chips and one with pasta. Both were yummy. The service was very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend their sandwiches any time!
I understand they will be in the new Shasta Wine Village soon to open end of 2014. That will be a much better location!!

“Delicious Road-trip Lunch”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

We stopped at the From the Hearth Cafe on our way from Sacramento to Ashland based on other TA reviews. The restaurant is easy to find off the highway. The design is clean and modern. My daughter had the turkey and avocado sandwich, and I had the tri-tip panini with ortega chilies. Both were delicious with the tri-tip the preferred dish. We also had a very refreshing beverage, a coconut infused iced tea with blackberries. With our lunches came the option of purchasing a pastry for half price. We opted for German chocolate cake which we bought to-go and enjoyed later for dessert. If you are avoiding fast-food chain restaurants like we are, and would enjoy a different dining experience for lunch, I would recommend the From the Hearth Cafe.

“Great affordable breakfast”
Reviewed June 19, 2014 via mobile

There may not be a lot of bakeries in Redding. So this one makes up for that. Great affordable breakfasts. Great organic teas. The salads are awesome too. Get one to go great summer lunch.

“Choices and Quality - Cost : (”
Reviewed June 15, 2014

This is one of the places we all can agree on. There is meat and vegetarian and everything in between. The bread for the sandwiches, the quality of the meat, and the ingredients in the salad are fresh and good. The only downside is the price - a little high.
