We have lived here for two years and continue to be surprised by the trail options in this area. It's great for bikers and hikers!

but, watch out for the people on bikes. it's like a small two-lane road(fully Paved) but no line, so, stay on the correct side of the road. It's still great and you walk with the Sacramento river. It's cool---even on a hot redding day. we venture out there once in a while and then go across the "turtle Bay bridge" and grad a coffee at the park entrance. Lot's of parking and just a great place to go and meet people and dogs alike

The best feature of living in Redding is the Sacramento River Trail.
Bikers and walkers enjoy this trail on a daily basis. A 6 mile beautiful walk starts at Court Street past Keswick Dam. Be sure to check out the Sundial Bridge over the river... beautiful.

I would recommend everyone to go and take a walk or ride on the Rail Trail. My family and I recently took a bike ride starting from the Shasta Dam to the Sundial Bridge. There were a few times we would just stop and enjoy the spectacular views! Not only were we getting exercise together but also were able to see wildlife that we don’t see often! My daughter was ecstatic when she saw 3 deer! This makes it a trip to remember! So get the kids out and enjoy this Beautiful Trail!!
