“Bar selection great”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

Had dinner there the night of our grandson's graduation and were a bit worried about our timeframe. Did it have to wait to be seated and water and request for drinks came right away. We told our server that we had a tight timeframe so whatever they could do expedite our meal would be appreciated. Turned out our server's wife was a teacher at the highschool that was holding that graduation we were on our way to see. Now to the food: they have a pretty limited menu I was honestly concerned about my dad finding something he liked. He ordered a pasta dish (which later he told me he was ready to"not like". ). But he raved about it. Said it was the best pasta parmadora he had ever had. Believe me, my dad is very, shall we say discerning, and I breathed a sigh of relief with his assessment of his dish.. Their bread/olive oil/ balsamic is the best I have ever had. All in all we were all pleased with the service , the the bar selection and the meal...would definitely eat there again.

“Very rushed service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

This was our third visit to C.R.Gibbs in four years of travelling back from Tucson, Az.
Service appears to have gone down hill since our first visit. We felt rushed into giving our food order and when the food eventually came it was fair at best. Server seemed more interested in getting us (seniors) in and out quickly. It was late afternoon and he place was not packed so there was.no excuse there. We probably will think twice before returning there in future.

“Didn't expect much, but...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

This restaurant is attached to a mid-range hotel, so we didn't expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised! The beer menu was exceptional and our server, Matt, was great. He knew everything about the beers they had on tap and helped me select a tasty IPA. He also made some perfect suggestions for food, which was way above average pub fare. I had a pizza with andouille sausage, chicken and caramelized onions that was delicious. If you find yourself in Redding, stop here!

“Nice environment. Food attractively served”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2013 via mobile

Recommended by hotel front desk. Large, well lighted, dining area with attentive staff. For some reason the room was very noisy. The food (fish taco) was ok but it was very well plated.
