“Well appointed, great service and immaculate grounds!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

We arrived at the Villas at Westin around midnight for a girls weekend, we checked in without any issues, and were told that if we don't like our villas, we can move the next day when the front desk opened in the morning. The villas were great, well appointed with everything you'd need, full kitchen, living and dining rooms, and the nice sized bedrooms (and the bathroom of course). The kitchen had everything, including fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, dishes, pots and pans. Villas come with washer and dryer as well. Included are the dishwasher and laundry soaps!

One of the girls did ask for a different room the next day for a better view and balcony and was moved promptly; another one of my friends needed the bathroom cleaned (I think it smelled), and it was taken care of immediately. Customer service at the front desk was excellent, Maria was very helpful. The resort is amazing, clean, pools are great, with waterslides and pool bars.

We did eat at the lounge patio and the food was amazing, although I didn't try them, my friends had fish tacos at the pool bar and said they were great. We will definitely be back here, loved it!

My wife and I visited Westin Mission Hills Villas this past week from Jan 19 thru Jan 22 and had such a wonderful time that we wanted to share and compliment a couple members of the staff who made our trip memorable. We travelled for the first time with our 10 month old baby boy, our 5 and 6 year old boys and us. We stayed in the larger one bedroom which is perfect for this size family as we did not feel cramped at all. We spent almost every minute at the property. I golfed with my father and brother who travelled out to see us and the course was great. Our children spent almost every waking moment at the pool. The food at the pool is amazing. But most importantly, two young ladies who work for the Westin at the pool made our stay fabulous. Stephanie and Maribel treated all of us great. Blake and Jared had so much fun with both on the slide and at the crafts all because of the awesome positive energy that Stephanie and Maribel created. They were happy, giving of their time and energy, and made the boys feel super special, which made my wife and I super happy. Oh yeah they just loved on our baby Zachary as well. So thank you very much Stephanie and Maribel for making our trip great!!! From Mark and Melissa Edwards

We recently returned from the first of what we hope will be many visits to the Westin Mission Hills Resort. We stayed in the villas, which is separate from, but related to the hotel. While the villas are geared toward timeshares, they are available by the night, just like a hotel room. It was a nice little one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette and we were very pleased with the accommodations.

The unit was updated and modern, with nice furnishings. There is even a small washer/dryer combo in a closet that was really nice to have. We were particularly impressed with the kitchenette, which was much better than average. It is the best use of a small space we've seen in a kitchenette, outfitted with a refrigerator, two-burner stove, microwave/oven combo, dishwasher, and sink. The cabinets were filled with everything you would reasonably require in this type of a setting. We enjoyed some simple meals out on our enjoyable patio with a view of the golf course and the spectacular mountains.

The best features of the resort (for non-golfers) are the pools. They make a great little palm-lined oasis in the desert. We spent most of our time at the main pool for the villas. It has a very nice and large wading pool for the little ones, as well as a large pool. Both were wonderfully warm, even in January. The waterslide was a big hit and we were surprised when it wasn't just a tiny little plop into the pool; it was as good as you could hope for outside of a water park, with a nice big circle, and a fun little twist at the end. In the middle of the big circle was a grotto with a spa where we warmed up between runs. The kids had a blast and we were really able to relax and have fun.

The resort features various other amenities that we will have to check out next time, such as the day spa and sauna. We did enjoy the small playground at the east end of the complex. It's geared toward smaller kids and is in really nice shape. The resort map indicated another play area at the west end, but when we went down there to explore there was just a small grassy area next to a putting green and nothing else. No problem, there were plenty of other things to do.

All-in-all it is a great place to rest, relax, and recharge. We will certainly return to the villas to enjoy the pools, sunshine, and views again. We would not hesitate to recommend the property to our friends.

Room Tip: We really enjoyed having a room with a patio facing south toward the golf course.

We have stayed at this resort 3 times in the past 8 years and have found it to be ever-evolving and constantly raising the bar on themselves. This last trip we had reserved a smaller 1 bedroom unit and upon check in,without asking, we were given an upgrade to a larger full size one bedroom simply because there was availablity. We love the amenities at both the Villas and the attached Hotel. The Villas housekeeping staff was outstanding and provided a few special touches that we have not had before, except for extremely high end accomodations. Love love love the robes in the rooms.. What a bonus not to have to pack something bulky. Comfortable beds, nicely decorated, plenty of storage, beautiful landscaping, gorgeous at night, relaxing during the days and views to die for. Concierge services are super, and everyone goes above and beyond. Enjoyed the grill right on the deck. No trekking around with raw meat!!! Perfect location for many day trips. These Villa's are on the higher end of the scale. We just got back and am looking forward to returning within the next several years, even though we are on the east coast, the long travel is worth the destination.

Room Tip: All rooms are decorated very well. Views of the golf course & mountains could be better than in...

Catherine P, thank you very much for telling us about your vacation! We're thrilled that you had a nice visit and we're even more thrilled to know that not only are we your favorite location in the desert, but that the service we provide is evolving! Our team works very hard to "own" each experience and I'll make sure we share your feedback with them. It's critically important to us to ensure our resort continually grows in terms of the experience, as consumers are looking for increased value and service. We take tremendous pride in what we do and my team will truly appreciate the acknowledgment. Thank you again and we look forward to serving you on your next visit!

Palm Springs was never on our destination list. We had lived in Southern Ca ten years and never gone out there. That being said, we had Fun! It was warm in January and there was a lot more to see then we ever thought there would be.

We stayed at the Westin Mission Hills Villas after they offered us a great deal. Of course they wanted to sell us a timeshare, but it was such a great deal it was still worth it. The place is on a gorgeous golf course and big but easy to get around. It is right next door to the Resort and spa. They had a nice restaurant and the staff on the grounds were all very nice. The room was good and comfortable with a nice kitchen and steps away from the pool. All the pools were great. The spa at the resort next door was nice, but overpriced.

It lost stars because we could hear every step the person above us was making. The place was very empty and why they put us underneath when they didn't have to I am not sure. Also the sales guy trying to get us to buy in was obnoxious. Even if I was interested I was immediately turned off by him and when he threatened that I would be "taken off the list" for not going to their meeting I walked. The last thing , and sorry this is probably the HR girl in me, was that one of the employees told me that at the resort next door they have recently lost all their benefits for time off and health care and that the housekeeping staff was being paid $5 per room that they cleaned and not an hourly wage. It just didn't sit right with me.

It was a pretty spot, most of the staff was very pleasant, the room standard, but not somewhere I would return too.

Caibo, thank you sharing your experience! We're glad that you found the resort to your liking and enjoyed the accommodations and amenities. With having a villa property located on-site with a resort hotel, the range of amenities seems endless and options for enjoyment and relaxation abound! Thank you for the feedback about your sales experience. I will share this with senior leadership so they may take corrective action. I too, am a former HR person and I can tell you that what the associate was referring to was a deparment at the hotel that was outsourced to a third party partner that we had been working with for a number of years. It was simply a business decision that evolved and made sense and from a service perspective, this department remains seamless to our guest experience and we are committed to partnering with them to ensure the associate experience remains a positive one. Thank you again for your feedback on the resort and we look forward to serving you again on your next visit!

From the time we checked in until check out this resort was the most relaxing vacation we've had. All of the employees seemed to go out of their way to make sure we enjoy ourselves. We used just about every service there was- from the golf course to the spa to both of the dining options - all of the employees were outgoing, smiling and knew everything about their responsibilities. The pool areas were kept spotless with plenty of towels. It was fun watching them trying to keep the ducks out of the pool! The room we were given was spacious, well stocked, spotless and very comfortable,
