“Good food and service but did not like being rushed!”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

our party of 10 dined here last week. We had good food and service, but instead of allowing us to have a nice leisurely evening we all felt they could not wait to get us out! We ordered drinks and appetizers wanting to enjoy them before ordering. Instead Irene kept pushing us to order. Then our chef arrived and he did a real good job. However, we were not even finished our meals when we were asked if we could move to the bar if they bought us a drink. All in all, you seem to to forget the good food and service and end up annoyed by their attitude of "herding" you in and out as fast as possible............. I would think twice about ever going back!

Very tasty meal and fun for the kids. Service was just so-so. I think may other better choices in the area.

“Excellent meal”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

NY steak was delicious. Typical Benihana-style cooking, but better ingredients, and the interior is quite old so you don't feel like you're in a chain restaurant. Try the green tea ice cream.

“A treat for the kids”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

We had not made a reservation but passing the 20 min wait time was no chore when the kids could feed the koi carp in the pretty ponds outside. We knew what to expect but for our 9 and 11 year olds this was a real treat as we had a great chef who put on a very funny show flipping the food and tossing it onto plates and the steak and shrimp we had was excellent and served medium rare just how we wanted it. Is not cheap but with each main meal the soup, shrimp starter and veggies are all included as was a choice of sorbet at the end. The restaurant is quite loud but a lot of fun and you get to know your neighbors well as the seating around the chef stations is quite snug.

“Just ok....”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

I went with my family on a Friday night and we were seated early with an 8pm reservation. It was busy but wasn't crowded. I thought the service was lacking a little bit. Our server forgot our salads and the Miso soup had mushrooms which is new to me. The food was good but I felt it was overpriced. Would of preferred to go to "Roy's" for the prices we paid. I ordered chicken and prawns but was served shrimp instead of prawns. I didn't make the reservation and I doubt if I go back. Was not impressed.
