“Great menu variety and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

Waitress recommended enchiladas as one of the restaurant specialties when I asked if she could give me some suggestions as the menu is quite full of dishes, and I was very pleased with the spinach enchiladas. My daughter wanted quesadillas for an entree which are on the appetizer menu. She asked the waitress if she could have half chicken and half spinach/mushroom quesadilla; after checking with the kitchen, this was delivered, and my daughter was thrilled with it. The salsa that comes with the chips prior to the meal is on the spicy side, but not over the top. On the inside the restaurant is quaint but large at the same time as though one is in the middle of a Mexican city plaza. In cooler weather (not July) sitting in the open air, yet covered, outside seating area would be a great atmosphere, as well.

“Bland, Boring and Suburban”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2013

During an extended stay to the Palm Springs area we decided to eat here because it was recommended by a friend. We were skeptical as soon as we drove up, and became more so when we walked in. It was large and very commercial. For a minute we thought we were in the Mexico pavilion in Epcot. We tend to like restaurants that are hole in the wall sort of places where you can see locals eating. This was none of that, it's manufactured ambience lacked character. We thought we should leave, but decided to stay since it had been recommended. The food was rather mediocre and really nothing special at all. It was boring and ordinary. Sorry, but we won't be back. We had much higher hopes for Mexican food in California.

“Not impressed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

While visiting my elderly father-in-law in Palm Springs last month, we went to this restaurant. I had always wanted to go there on previous visits because the patio area looked so interesting. But silly me, the patio was not open in July...too hot... I wasn't thinking about that! But while we found the food to be standard, the service we received was not so great. We waited in the bar for about 10 minutes and no one came to ask us if we'd like a drink. There was hardly any one there so it wasn't like they were busy. Might give it another try if we go to see my father-in-law in the winter.

“Great food!”

Fresh salsa! Food was very tasty and portions were perfect. One of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever visited. Nice family atmosphere. Casual dining.

“Consistant Quality!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

I have visited this restaurant several times over the past years when visiting the desert and it is always consistant. Food is delicious and plentiful

The Happy Hour margaritas are only served in the bar and they will ask if you are seated at a table. Sit down for a half drink before heading to your table. The bartender was also super helpful in discussing the new menu items and his favorites!
