“Nice Smoky Barbecue Aroma”

The aroma pulls you in and the food is pretty good; not great. Didn't meet expectations in service and the food did not come out hot.

“Christmas/New Year's 2012-13”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

Great dining experience. The ribs are among the best; the beef short ribs out of this world; the Friday fish fry is fantastic -- crisp, tasty, fresh fish -- a great meal, so popular they often run out before the evening is over. Barbeque pork sandwiches are very tasty; sweet potato with brown sugar and pecans very good and excellent cole slaw. Comfortable booths, a really nice bar, old Western atmosphere; a great place for lunch or dinner. Come early; the lunch portions, though slightly smaller than the dinner portions, are still generous and much less expensive before 5:00 o'clock. They have ice tea available unsweetened, with Sucralose at your table, a tasty, no-calorie sweetner. Service is good with good waiters (though on one occasion my waiter "disappeared" and I had to fend for myself, requesting assistance from others). Overall, excellent service, friendly employees and a great atmosphere, a fun place for lunch or dinner. Clean. Good selection. Reasonable prices. Though I do not drink, the customers around me lauded the many tasty beers brewed on premises. I loved the large pigs displayed out front! Highly recommended for a different dining experience.

“Every year, never fails to be terrific”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

Some rib joints are so-so. This one works for us on every level. We visit several times a year with a variety of guests; have yet to find anyone who didn't want to go back to "that pig place." (big statues of pigs outside and in have been featured in quite a few family photos) While we love everything we've tried here, we usually order the full baby back of ribs. We take home the generous leftovers and often get an extra two meals each from them - which makes this a great value meal too.

No matter what I ordered here, it was delicious. Reasonable prices. Great variety of their own beer brewed on premises.

“Good food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

I have never been to this restaurant before and it was excellent. Nice inviting, fun restaurant and bar. I had the Texas Tri Tip with slaw and baked yam with honey butter with pecans. Most BBQ entrées are around $25 but the menu is extensive with much cheaper options.
