“Fantastic service, decent food”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

We had the world's best service from our waitress, who was handling our large group for a special meal. Drinks were generally amazing as well, and a decent wine list. The food was only good though. Some of the dishes were really worth your money, others only okay (my lobster for one). I might be inclined to stick with one of the dishes they are most famous for given its quite expensive.

“Couldn't have been better”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

Went for our daughters birthday and the staff were all aware and took great care of us.
2 celiacs in the group. Roy's had a GF menu and were willing to modify other dishes.

Had the Ahi which was great. One other had the short ribs which were amazing.

Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

“A Little Disappointing”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

We've been to Roy's in Palm Desert and several other locations, and have always had a good experience. This visit didn't come up to expectations. Service was very attentive -- almost too much -- I don't love the canned corporate style, although they were very accommodating when we dithered about our appetizers and changed our minds. We both had mahi mahi for entrees; servings were on the small side, and not very exciting. When I ordered a glass of wine, I was upsold...that never sits well. This is a fairly expensive restaurant; not really worth the cost this time around. I'd give 3-and-a-half stars if that was an option.

Food was pretty good, had the butterfish and wish I would of ordered something else. Wasn't really much food, chunk of fish, pile of white rice and veggie "garish". The ribs were good and the rib eye and ahi were good selections around the table. Steak was 14oz. Service was attentive. They did over charge us 33.95 for each for the steaks as the bill stated them for the wrong price. If you didn't know the price of what you ordered 25 or 26.95 for the rib eye, you wouldn't ever of caught it since it was listed as rib eye steak on the final bill. This was after we asked to chop the bill multiple ways to our servers displeasure, which we didnt state earlier.

“Best Happy Hour”

Our Group shared a variety of appetizers including the burger sliders(9everyone's favorite), bbq pork sushi roll, and sashimi. Service was attentive. Tropical drinks were smooth and exotic.,
