“Nice Round”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2014

While I'm not a fan of winter dormant grass in the rough, the Gary Player Course at Mission Hills was great. Just admire the contrasts and get out there. The course was in very good shape and the greens were running fast and true.

This course offers good value and can test your abilities as a golfer. Lots of teeing ground areas so pick the right one for you and enjoy the experience. It moved well for us and we played the round in about 4 hours and 15 minutes, which we think is good for a desert resort course.

The clubhouse areas are adequate and certainly meet the needs, but they are not to the standard you might expect at Mission Hills. I suspect that improvements will be tied to a future expansion of Mission Hills.

Play this course. Just remember, you access THIS Mission Hills course from Ramon Road.

“Good golf, older facilities”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2013

At $89/round this was the least expensive course we played during our week in Palm Springs. We had played the Pete Dye course during our previous visit and this course was recommended to us as the prettier of the two at Mission Hills. It is that. It is a nice course to play with a reasonable selection of tee lengths for the average golfer. It winds it's way through the homes around the course and includes some significant water hazards through the 18 holes. The clubhouse seems a little dated although functional. The staff was good, although there was no one present at the bag drop when we first arrived. The practice facilities are reasonable - although I did not notice a chipping/pitching green.

“Beautiful Course”

Thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful course. Lots of opportunities for trouble but a great layout. Rentals a bit pricey but includes access to driving range and six new Callaways.

“Great golf course”

A must in the area. If you have to choose between the Pete Dye and the Gary player. choose the Pete Dye, the Gary player course has to be reseed and the Pete Dye is definitely in a better shape

“Good Challenge-Good Course”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

If you are looking for a fun day of golf, and do not mind a few shots going where you do not want them to go, this is one of the Coachella Valley courses for you. The green keepers do a fantastic job of keeping the track very playable and the flora is exquisite. Throw in the ambiance of the mountains and hills, and you have a great place to put a few balls in the myriad of water hazards that line the course. Enjoy and have a refreshing drink after your round.
