What an oasis in the desert.
This facility is the information centre showing two of the great benefactors of our society, the Annenberg's. The grounds and information centre are exquisite and very much unlike anything we have seen in the Palm Springs area. Their mission is serious and and an incredibly valuable contribution to our society. Even though I am not an American, I feel honored to be able to attend and see what they have done to create a place of beauty, tranquility and world importance in a place to discuss points of agreement and discord amongst world leaders.
All I can say is thank you.
This is a must see and if you can get into the house tour, take advantage of it.

A visit to the Palm Springs area must include a walk through the gardens at the Annenberg Estate, called SUNNYLANDS. The gardens are free and open Thursday - Sunday. Visitor Center and (great!) Gift Shop too.

It's open, expansive, well maintained, interesting and a wonderful experience of desert foliage. Changes with each season….. This is a good stop for a 20 minute visit or longer (I think we stayed about an hour). It's easy to visit the garden and gift shop. Plan ahead for the house tour (next time we will!).

Really worthwhile, local, natural, interesting, educational, outdoors fun!!

We had not reserved space to visit the house at the Annenberg estate but did tour the gardens and new visitor center, which anyone can visit free and without reservations Thursday through Sunday. Visitors can walk through the gardens (primarily cactus) at leisure. A video film in the visitor center introduces the Annenbergs who in their lifetime entertained presidents and prominent world leaders at the estate. We will try to reserve space to visit the house in the future that you can only do online and at a cost of $35 per person. It is fun to wander though the gardens although we got sated with cactus after a while. Very worth while visit.

Very beautiful desert garden and for free. There is a 20 minute video of the Annenbergs's estate. Wasn't able to make reservations as you do have to book in advance. They have free yoga on Fridays at noon in their center lawn area.
