“Hopefully they are drastically understaffed”
Reviewed January 22, 2012

Possibly too top heavy and not enough worker bees. Steak was great and cook as requested but other than that it really missed the mark and lost focus.

“Great atmosphere”
Reviewed January 21, 2012

Great restaurant located in Rancho las Palmas resort. They have a great terrace overlooking the golf course, and there is a fire pit if you want to sit outside at night and have a drink. The food is very fresh and tasty, I had both lunch and breakfast there and was not disappointed. The Eggs Benedict was perfect, and the salad/flatbread combo at lunch was very tasty and just the right size. It is a little pricey, but that is to be expected at a desert resort. The service was very good, the server was very attentive and pleasant.

“Outrageous excuse for a restaurant!”
Reviewed January 19, 2012

I want to open a house of ill repute that serves great food and name it BluEmber because there's already a restaurant by that name that provides a really good screwing!
Prices are outrageous for the ordinary, unimaginative food they serve and the service, while friendly, was nearly non-existent.
We budgeted two hours for a pre-theater dinner and dessert hadn't arrived 15 minutes prior to curtain, but our server politely offered to pack up the ice cream so we could eat it on the way! If you enjoy a poorly managed restaurant serving a quality you can find anywhere in the desert for about 2/3 the price, you have a winner at BluEmber.

“bluEmber Breakfast”
Reviewed January 18, 2012

Great restaurant - hubby and I had breakfast at the bluEmber before departing Rancho Las Palmas.

My breakfast wrap of eggs, cheese, chorizo, potatoes and green chilis was superb! Wrapped on seam side down with a enchilada sauce spread over the top, sprinkled with cojitia cheese, served with beans and rice was outstanding. Hubby ordered the Eggs Benedict which as delivered to our table cooked to perfection.

If you'd like a nice, easy breakfast, let the very attentive staff at the bluEmber assist you. It's a great way to start your day!!!

“Excellent breakfast and dinner”
Reviewed January 2, 2012

This is the on-site restaurant at Rancho las Palmas in Rancho Mirage. Most of the time I would never eat at an on-site restaurant. This is the exception. The huevos rancheros were excellent and, at dinner, the prim rib is the best I have ever eaten. The service is fine and you get very good value for your money.
