My daughter and I stayed here while we were in town for the Indian Wells Tennis tournament. It's a 10-15 minute drive from the Tennis Garden, but not too bad. The hotel itself is very nice - I agree with the other reviewers that the rooms may be some of the nicest in So. California. The pool area is very nice with plenty of lounge chairs and nice cabanas for rent.

We did not go to the casino area, but it seemed like a nice enough casino. One very big point not to miss is that in most of California, smoking is not allowed indoors. Apparently that is not true in the Tribal Casinos, and you can definitely smell the smoke in the first floor casino/restaurant areas. That is definitely a big turn off. We were having breakfast outside on the patio and the man next to us actually got out and lit a cigar, chasing us away from our table. Cigarette smoke is bad enough, but cigar smoke is totally unacceptable.

Aside from that experience, our stay at Agua Caliente was great. The valet parking attendants were great and all employees we encountered were very nice.

We will probably stay closer to the Tennis Garden next year, but only because it is nicer to not have to drive back and forth. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel.

Nice casino resort, rooms were superb, very clean with large bathroom (double sinks); no coffee maker however they have a small fridge.

Pool amenities were good however out of the 3 days we were there only 1 day was the poolside bar open (Sunday)? Every other day they only had 1 waitress working everyone at the pool - you have better luck going into the bar to get your own drinks then waiting for the waitress to come by. That was a bit disappointing.

Parking was free, quick accessibility to the resort. Location good with Palm Springs or Palm Desert only 10 minutes away.

Room Tip: balcony room

My husband, son and another couple stayed at this hotel for the first time. We had a great time and would stay here again. We came into town for the tennis tournament. While others in my party don't gamble, I spent sometime in the casino and found the machines were much more generous than at Morongo where we have stayed a number of times. The rooms are modern, spacious, clean and don't smell like smoke. The bathroom has a TV, huge tub and separate shower. The rooms really look like the pictures you see on their website. Check in was easy and went smoothly. We enjoyed the happy hour they had downstairs... $5 appetizers. The happy hour drinks did not seem overly expensive and they did not skimp on the booze. In the evening we went to the hot tub which is large and the pool area in general is very nice. The breakfast buffet is not very good even for its low price. Other reviewers have commented on the smoke. You should expect smoke when you go to a casino, but I will warn you there is more smoke in this casino than most others I have been to. It hits you like a wall when you first walk in. The elevators smell like smoke too, but I did not notice it on our floor or in our room. I woud would like to give this hotel 5 stars because I think the quality/service/price is really great, but the smoke is an issue to consider before you stay here.

This place has the luxury rooms you would expect in a grand resort. The pool and amenities are first class and when you're by the pool, relax and enjoy the sun. Of course they are known for the casino and great restaurants, but even if you don't gamble, you'll love it here

Room Tip: Ask for a non smoking room with vies to the pool area

Stayed here while attending a conference and was unimpressed with the business amenities this hotel had to offer. Neither phones in my room worked, and the internet was terrible. The wireless was completely unreliable and the wired connection was not much better. I spent more time trying to get on the Internet than being able to work while I was here.

The good: the rooms are modern, nice and big.
The bad: internet & phones.

Room Tip: Don't stay in any of them if you need to do work while you're here.

Dear Patron,
Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns of the technical issues you experienced during your stay at Agua Caliente; although we strive for flawless operations, unfortunately technical difficulties can sometime arise. It sounds like, in this case, there were some issues pertaining to the overall telephone and wireless systems and for that we apologize. I can assure you that this is not a common thing at our property and was most likely an isolated incident that unfortunately occurred during your stay. I can confirm that these issues have been corrected and that all of our internet, wireless, and phone services are again in working order. Again, thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention.

We stayed 2 nights, but this would be a great vacation destination. One of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. Modern, roomy and great bathroom. The entire facility looks brand new and is very clean. The only downside is the inevitable smoky atmosphere that goes with a casino. The air in the rooms was fine, but the elevators were smoky. The casino was nice, but very heavy on slots. Few table games and many machines were out of service. The pool and spa areas were as good as any Vegas resort. We ate 3 meals at WatersCafe and were not disappointed. The service at breakfast was a little slow, but excellent the other 2 meals. They have a buffet and steakhouse, but we did not eat there. We had my 92 year old mother in law with us and we found everything very handicap accessible. The covered parking garage is clean, well lit and convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a $16 a day resort fee, but other than that they don't nickel and dime you. There is no coffee maker in the room. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: We were on the 10th floor, overlooking the pool. It was a good spot.

We stayed five nights in one of the lovliest, most spacious rooms we have ever had in a hotel. There were large floor to ceiling windows, a comfy king size bed and room for a nice couch and coffee table and desk with comfortable chair. The room had a safe and fridge and several drawers if you like to unpack. The bath had double sinks, a large soaking tub, roomy shower with rainshower nozzle, lighted make-up mirror and separate area for commode. The linens were white, pillows soft and heating/cooling unit worked quietly. Now for the bad---the entrance hallway ran between the casino and registration desk and always had a very smoky smell. Between check-in area and elevators was a nice coffee place with good coffee and delicious healthy and unhealthy treats---however, one could not enjoy it because of the smoke. Their steakhouse was also in that area, but I would not even consider trying it because of the smoke odor there. Also, there was no coffee maker in the room or daily paper available---both of which I enjoy and missed having. I understand they want people to avail themselves of the barista and spend money in the casino, but in a lovely hotel one expects complimentary coffee and paper. Other positives to report---their banquet facility was nice with great food and efficient serving. Also, there was a great bar outside of the Waterscafe that had good drinks and happy hour food, and we took advantage of that several days. There was either valet or self-parking offered, and I found self-parking very nice---close and in a covered garage. All in all, I probably would not stay there again because of the smoke, even though I thoroughly enjoyed the room. All personnel I came into contact with were very personable.

Room Tip: All rooms would seem to have mountain/hill views, but the rooms on the east side overlook the top of...
