I'd had never had Vietnamese food prior to the day that my fiance took me to Pho Ha. I was skeptical. I mean, we were on Route 66, shouldn't we be having a burger and fries at a place with Car Hop service? Ordinarily, I might have driven by this place a million times and never noticed it because of it's nondescript location in a strip mall. This perception changed when I entered the neat and pleasantly appointed restaurant. Luckily, we were able to make it before the crowds came to enjoy their fine food. We were courteously ushered to our table by our host and we began to wonder with pleasant awe at the delicious fare of Pho Ha. Being experienced with the offerings, my fiance ordered us a large bowl of Pho--Vietnamese beef soup--along with a fried pork chop and rice to share. Pho is an amazing soup. Influenced by both Vietnamese and French cuisine, the taste is highly unique, exceptionally tasty, and ultimately pleasing. The fried pork chop was like none I had before. Delicious and tasty, light, and wonderful. Try it with the fish sauce. Trust me, if you don't think you like fish sauce, you are most likely wrong. It really opens up the taste of the food in an exciting way. Most surprising of all was the price. My fiance and I enjoyed a LARGE and wonderfully filling meal. Total cost including beverages but not tip was less that $25.00. BEST deal in town for a meal as excellent as Pho Ha provides. I've been to several Vietnamese restaurants since my first time at Pho Ha but I keep coming back to Pho Ha because they are most definitely the best of the best.
