Description: Where did the Lazy Dog Cafe name come from? One snowy afternoon, walking back into the lodge after a long morning on the slopes, Chris noticed a dog lying by the toasty fireplace. Commenting to his buddies on how much he loved his time hanging out there, he told them he wished everyone could enjoy life as much as that "lazy dog' by the fire. On their last run down the ski slopes in Jackson Hole, everyone has one thing on their mind: get these skis off and head to the lodge. Whether you're sitting by the fire or bellying up to the bar, the servers and bartenders know what you like and treat you like you're one of the family. The lodge has cold beer, hot chocolate, incredible food and great music, making it the place to be in town. Just like the lodge in Jackson Hole, the Lazy Dog offers the perfect environment for all ages, making the entire restaurant the place to be for a quick dinner with the family, a meandering meal with friends or a night out on the town!

I liked this place. Indoor and outdoor seating. Many people bring their dogs and sit outside. Bar area can be loud with sports showing on TV's. Good menu, good food, enjoyable atmosphere.

Ever since my husband and I traveled to Brazil four years ago, we've been looking for a decent caipirinha. This drink if fabulous--if done right. Most places offer this drink, but it is a sad imitation. Yesterday, we had lunch at the Lazy Dog, and we ordered their "The Brazilian." It was very good. Lots of lime pulp, Leblon cachaca, ice, and a bit of sugar. Most places think adding lime juice to rum makes a caipirinha, but they are sadly mistaken. This isn't even their signature drink, but it is very authentic.

Their signature drink is the sangria. Excellent. The servers, however, can't pour it without spilling half of the drink on the table, so we usually ask to pour it ourselves. Delicious. They have three, rose', pomegranate, and white (which is like a peach). All three are great, but the pomegranate is my favorite.

The food is solid. They have a wide variety, but I usually opt for the BBQ chicken pizza and Caesar salad. My vegetarian friend enjoyed one of their sandwiches, so they have loads to choose from whatever your taste.

One signature dish you don't want to miss is the edamame. Edamame is a typical bar food in Japan, and is becoming more and more popular in mainstream, non-Japanese, restaurants. The Lazy Dog, however, serves their edamame with amazing spices and seasoning. OUTSTANDING. You have to have this as your appetizer; it's fantastic.

Yes, this is a chain restaurant. Sure they show sports on the televisions. Okay, you may have to wait for a table. But this is a consistently good meal with some great drinks and dishes we haven't found anywhere else in So Cal. You won't be disappointed.

I've fallen into this place a few times, and have always had a very good, consistent visit. This is a good place to bring the family, and watch the game out of the corner of your eye (plenty of TV's tuned to sports). The service is great, and the menu extensive - I like the bacon-wrapped steak, and the pulled-pork selection for the "lighter fare" menu at the back is very good as well. The outdoor seating area is very nice, and know they do allow dogs in that area (only, not indoors) if you don't care to be around them. Personally, I love dogs so to dine with friends and neighbors and their well behaved pups is a treat for me...

I love the menu here. It is creative and the food is well prepared and it always satisfies flavor wise. I've only had one thing here I didn't like - a bacon Bloody Mary. Sounds amazing right? Yeh it had weird meat pieces that didn't taste like bacon and it was excessively spicy (and I like spicy). But other than that, amazing food and drink. There are a decent amount of vegetarian dishes as well if you have some veggies with you.

For those watching their weight, try the turkey burger- the meal is under 600 calories as the burger tastes great!!
