We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were on the top floor, room 318.

The area was quiet for us. The parking lot was almost full so we were amazed at how quiet it was. The parking was roomy and the hotel is off of a busy street. The street noise didn't bother us where we were located.

The negative:
You have to be pretty short to get UNDER the shower head. I am 5' 4" and I had to bend backwards to get under the water. The pillows were like pancakes. We had to get more just to make a full sized pillow. At first we thought the pocket door to the bathroom would be a problem but it turned out to be fine. Our plastic cups were not replenished the first day so we had to get more. We didn't like the "auto" lights and finally figured out we could override that feature on the light switch. Oh..this was the first time we had encountered this at any hotel before: No tissues. You get a packet (like the purse packet of Kleenex) with the Red Roof Logo on it. It's sitting on the bathroom counter.

The positive:
The room was quite nice. Free internet service. Fridge and microwave. The room was clean. A table and chair. Good lighting and a working TV. Beds were decent (no hard as a plank or soft as a marshmallow). The front desk was friendly and helpful. Gave us extra towels and pillows with a smile. There were two packets of shampoo and two small bars of soap.

All and all...pretty nice. I would stay here again if need be. The negative things were minor and the positives outweighed the negatives.

When Red Roof took over the Best Choice they completely renovated and the rooms are now much nicer than they were before. Some of the rooms are noisy, depending on their location. The rooms that face Olsen Road are VERY noisy and the hotel charges a lower price for those rooms. I think the rooms in the midsection of the hotel are quietest---not facing the freeway and not facing Olsen. The standard rooms are small. I think it's worth the extra ten bucks or so to get a Business King.

Red Roof is always a good deal for the money, and this particular is newly renovated, clean, and spiffy. Unfortunately, it also has the property of being between a busy street and a major freeway, and the walls and the doors are thin. So many rooms are *noisy*. Try to get a
room "around the pool"; they're perhaps a little better.

And it has free internet that actually works. You can print stuff too
(if it's a website), for 25 cents a page. That's being a lifesaver for me tonight.

Compared to the local Motel 6's (the only other major chain around here that's in the same price range), it's a good deal despite the noise (which M6's often suffer from too.)

This is my third stay at this property, and each time it had a different name. Red Roof Inns recently remodeled from the ground up, new toilets, decor, and added some rooms with fridges and microwaves. What was the worst dump in town (as "The Best Choice Inn") is now quite nice. Free wireless and trendy decor were a nice surprise too. Easily the best in town for 50 bucks a night.
