Great time, great property. Golf & fun we traveled everyday. It was difficult to get everywhere. Great if you want peace and quiet and not much more. Terrific environment. Julian fun to visit but most activities are 1 &1/2 hours away

If you just need a place to stay while in San Diego area it was fine. Spacious and clean, friendly staff. Needs updated, especially TVs. A bit out of the way for some Socal attractions like Magic Mt and Disney but we managed. Drive back after staying late at Disney one night was a bit too much. Pretty area with beautiful flowers and fragrant aroma. More of a dessert climate. Much more moderate closer to ocean.

We spent a week at San Diego Country Estates in February. As we had great weather, our review may be positively biased but we met many people who have been returning for years. Our criticisms are small. We had a one bedroom timeshare unit. It was very clean, spacious and nicely appointed. The bedroom had good reading lamps and two huge mirrored hanging cupboards. The kitchen had just about everything one might want, including paper towels and the pleasant surprise of a welcome packet of coffee, tea, instant oatmeal and hot chocolate! Salt and pepper as well as some sugar, was provided. I might have wanted a couple of good sized coffee mugs, in addition to the Corelle cups provided.
The large couch, fabulous TV, large dining table, comfortable bed, and ensuite washer and dryer were all assets. The selection of TV channels was excellent. We did not use the fireplace due to the warm weather but it looked appealing for cold nights. One suggestion would be to lose the numerous decorative plastic plants. Management was generous with the number of plush white towels. Daily maid service to empty trash and replace towels was appreciated.
The pool and hot tub at the club house were appealing, large and sparkling clean. The pool was heated and the hot tub appropriately hot. We spent many enjoyable hours in the poolside loungers. There were also a number of tables with umbrellas available. At night, a gas fireplace between the pool and hot tub was lit, and one could avail themselves of the comfy lounge chairs to watch the starry skies. We did not visit the pool at San Vincente Inn and the other (seasonal) pool was closed.
The grounds were attractive and well maintained and the occasional wild turkey was an interesting sight.
The gym was excellent. The 5 cardio machines were all in good working order. There were a goodly number of weight machines as well as free weights. Extra touches included a weigh scale, towels, fitness balls and mats.
The clubhouse offered amenities: a free lending library, puzzles, games, foosball, table tennis, and videos.
Many guests raved about the included golf and tennis, which we did not take advantage of.
I was confused about the no pets policy, as there were indeed some small dogs in some of the units.

Nice roomy 2 bedroom timeshare. Very nice people. That said there are long walks and lots of stairs to get your room. Parking, when found is also far away. I guess they want to get you used to the fact that nothing is nearby. At least an hours drive to anything but wineries. I will find something closer to things the next time.

We just arrived last night to find our two-bedroom unit both welcoming and quite surprising in its spaciousness and decor. As a trade through DAE Live for our timeshare in the Bahamas, we were delighted to find the unit as nice as it was. It is perfect for our upcoming family visitors (daughter, husband and two grown children) from San Diego to celebrate Christmas. Big spacious living and dining room, two bedrooms with king-size beds and separate bathrooms, and two large sofas/sofa beds in the living room. Yes, it is about 9-10 miles up a winding road from Ramona, and yes it is a bit remote, but there is tennis and golf on the property, outdoor heated pools and a club house featuring a dinner special each evening. Ramona has all of the amenities (except a movie theater) and two large grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Four wineries are nearby for tastings as well.

Room tip: Second floor rooms are better because of noise. Rear facing rooms are a bit darker but have nice patios
