This little 12-unit family motel just north of town was built in the first half of the last century and retains much of its quaint charm. The duplex cabins have knotty pine paneling inside, and the porches are decked with huge slaps of cedar and the roofs are supported by rough-hewn posts.
The rooms have a small kitchenette set-up with a sink, stove-top and refrigerator. The bathroom plumbing is modern. The furnishings were simple and serviceable, a mix of old and not-so-old. The host was friendly. The clientele was quiet.
We enjoyed it overall and would probably go back just because of the unique character of the cabins, but we must warn fellow travelers about the very saggy bed in our room and the weak wi-fi that barely reached from the office to our room. AT&T cell service and (free) wi-fi were good enough outside on the front lawn, but inside the cabin, in the shadow of the hill behind, cell reception and wi-fi were touch and go but mostly non-functional.
