Old Poway Park is a great place for a picnic, to play, to visit the museum and other buildings that are open for the public to visit. Check on the train schedule and when the farmer's market and art sales are scheduled. Stop at the Hamburger Factory for something to eat too!

“Small Family Attraction”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

We were here for a Cycling event but I walked the whole area and park and thought, "what a great place for a family to spend the day". They had an old recreated town and train station with historical buildings, homes, and the real deal with the trains. They operate on weekends from around 10AM to 2 PM. The fee to ride the train is only a few dollars for adults and less for kids. The picnic areas are beautiful and spacious--there were several birthday parties happening that afternoon. The area surrounding the park is in keeping with the historic theme all built with that "old town" look, even if they aren't that old. The park is kept in pristine condition by volunteers mostly and they have many family and historical events listed year round--especial for the kids. These were the cleanest, nicest public restrooms I've ever seen.

“Sat Farmers Market a MUST!”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

This market had great local flare along with organic and home grown veg, fresh fish, plants and breads. Also the vendors were cooking up some great foods to eat or take home for lunch. Samples filled us up but we bought many fresh items and plants to support this local community!!!

“Small but fun local park”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

This small park has alot going for it...large oak trees to give plenty of shade for picniking, a restaurant, a great railroad club that has refurbished a couple of engines and train cars and provide rides for some events, a historical society and a Saturday farmers market.
