We ate here twice this past month. The first day was Saturday after the Thanksgiving holiday and they were absolutely swamped with large groups (families) and their wait staff were stretched to their limits. We realized this when seated, so just decided to take it as it came and give them a break on the service levels. Which turned out to be the best decision for the day.
Our server brought our coffee, but never checked back to see if we wanted refills, so we were left to flag down any server who came within wave range. That was fine - because they really were just swamped.
Our orders came well within an acceptable amount of time, the food was hot, and it was good. The eggs and bacon were just perfect for the way we like them - over easy and crispy.
Our second visit was earlier on a weekday morning, they were not swamped and the service was reflective of the conditions. Our server checked back several times and refilled out coffees without any wait, the food still came fairly quickly and it was just as good as the first time.
Since we were packing up to move back to NC after a lengthy stay in the area, we went back for take out on our last visit. I was in the mood for a breakfast sandwich (egg, bacon, cheese on toast) but they didn't have it on the menu - however, they did make one for us.
It was fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a better sandwich.
We did not eat there during lunch, so cannot speak to their menu or food quality for those items. But, we did enjoy looking at all the memorabilia and movie posters. We actually have added several movies to our Netflix que since eating there and being reminded of some really good older flicks.
Everything was very clean, staff were friendly, and we definitely recommend it for anyone who wants a relaxing breakfast.
