We had been to Mirage Mediterranean Restaurant in the same shopping center as Aladdin, Jr. and thought we were returning there. The two restaurants look virtually the same from outside, so we didn't realize our mistake until we were seated. While Mirage is clean, new, and hospitable, Aladdin was dirty (the two large aquariums in the entry area were covered in algae and had maybe two sad fish swimming in them), unfriendly, and had an unappealing decor. Despite the fact that we were the only customers, it took almost an hour for us to be served. The chicken and beef kabobs we ordered were super salty and just mediocre (especially for the price).
We were also surprised when, midway through our long wait for our food, a buffet suddenly appeared and more customers started arriving. I don't know how good the buffet is, but it was much cheaper to have ordered from the buffet than off the menu. We were disappointed that our waiter hadn't told us about it.
I would definitely return to the Mirage, but won't be coming to Aladdin, Jr. again.
