The Black Heron is just as good as, or better than their web site describes. They really value your privacy, and stock the room well before you get there. The snacks and breakfast supplies were all delicious. The views are fantastic. And the property feels very isolated and quiet even though it is quite close to town.
Our first afternoon there we walked out on the low hills between the inn and Tomales Bay, and saw a large bobcat sunning himself on a slope. When he saw us, he ran full speed into some brush in a gully. What a thrill!
